Thread: whats a good dmg to a scythe weapon?
I've made 2. One with looted geno sword cores. Turned out to be 181-311 at 2.6 ish. Got a speed slice(bummer) to 1.8. Trust me, it eats mind. I roll at 100 focus and will power, 570 encum comp suit, and double shot of brandy for a total of 800 to stats, and I still can watch my mind bar go down.
Made my second one tonight, with crafted yellow cube cores. 186-318 at 2.5. Had a point to sink into range on teh scythe build, and got ranges to 0/0/-2.

Nice PvP Scythe. Made with looted cores perhaps? Since I don't think crafted can achieve that high a minimum damage...

Oh wow, which one was better, the looted cores or the crafted? And if looted, what were the stats on them?

Verified the stats tonight, it is 2.7 speed, 240-427 damage, 24.1% wound, +10@0/+10@6/+10@5, HAMs I don't recall offhand. As far as crafted versus looted, the best of the four I had made was done with a set of exceptional looted cores. The best of the four in the end was made from crafter cores—it had as much to do with the slice as the crafting. They were all fine blades to begin with, but that one in specific got a 35% damage slice, which is why it's such a pleasure to wield. If the one made with the 46/40 cores had gotten that slice…well, it'd be a 2.5 speed and have a bit more damage to it (I think the range mods are worse on that one, though.)

Mine is 2.0 and 195-300, more importantly the "to hit" stats are +8, +8, +12 with ham costs very low as well.
When my webmaster and I take on something, I hit 3 times for its one. Each does about 500 damage with specials racking in much more. But, I rarely use specials because I do more DPS without them. I'm only 0/0/4/4 swordsman. I don't use/need the mind hits because when you're grouped its a waste to go after the mind by yourself when everyone else is hitting the health bar with bleeds and bodyshots. And lets face it, the knockdowns just plain don't work.
I do get tired of the questions:
"Dude, wat wep is that?!"
"Whereu get it?"
"How much it cost u?"
"Can I see it?"
If anyone of you have a waypoint for good scythe vendors on Chilastra, I'd really appreciate it. Only seen one, going for 1 mil, wasn't that good either. You guys have some nice ones.
