I got a 32% damage slice on the first scythe I ever bought, making it a 251-433 damage2.7 speed thing of beauty

I paid 450k for a great one and got a lucky 31% damage slice on it. It's very nice.
750k is too much, IMO.

Depends on what you are looking for... I payed 1mil for mine, because it was on auction and had a very nice slice on it

Gather all the resources yourself and then have your PA's Smith who you happen to be friendly with make you and give you both cause he's just such a nice guy.

I might try the quest the next time I get on.
Thanks!

It only takes about 10 minutes to run the Scythe quest, don't waste your credits because you're too lazy to run a few missionsDo that and gather some nice Geno Sword Cores, then find a NICE weaponsmith (like me) who will make you one if I get to keep the other
Save yourself a ton of credits you will...
You know,I was thinking that too. Unfortunately though, there's lots of spoiled kids that don't like to work for anything they get, they just want to get it no matter the cost. Getting credits is easy enough, either through online sources, or by twinking by your friends or other characters. I actually had a Master Creature Handler ask me, "hey dude, how do you name yur pet?". His account was either bought or he did the grinding so fast he never learned what he was doing. What a shame.
In any case, 750k is rediculous, unless you're loaded... and in that case, I have this wonderful bridge for sale on Dathomir...

Yes. Waaaaayyy to much. dont buy it, even if you can easily afford it, it just reinforces over pricing and continues to fubar the economy. Either loot all the components yourself or have a friend tag along to help. You should be able to put together everything you need in a day. Find a good weaponsmith and usually, if you have all the necesary components, will make them for you for free or just a few thousand credits. Besides, running through the quests and steps to get the components is a fun adventure!! Which is somehting that is in short supply in this game.

750k is way too much IMO. here is what i did to get mine:
1) do the scythe quest. its super easy and can be done twice (talk to the NPC outside mos eisley cantina to 'wipe' your databank after you get your first one).
2) spend some time at the geo caves killing crazed geonosians. i looted some nice 16min/18max yellow cubes and 18 dmg compounds there to use in my scythe.
3) find a good master weaponsmith and ask him if he will take your scythe schematic and components and make you one in return for the right to keep the schematic.. which he can use to make a 2nd one for himself.
i did this twice. here are my 2 scythes:
2.6 / 268 - 458
1.8 /197 - 342
and all it cost me was the cash for buffs and shuttles.

I paid 700k for my 2.6 speed 252-448 scythe(30% damage slice)and I feel it was worth it down to the last credit. Prices do vary from server to server, and depending on whats in your wallet, Icould see750kbeing a bit steep.
