Our Swords IV title in Brawler is still "Apprentice HEAVY Swordsman..."why change Master one?

They also changed fencers master title. now it reads master fencer, instead of the cool blademaster title. the dev's thought that the titles were "redundent" for some reason.

Macross Starchaser, Eclipse, Phoenix Reborn

Fencers STILL have the blademaster title, it just got moved down to another tier. They also got the Swashbuckler title.

BH got desperado and Pikeman got sentinel.

So they get badass titles and we get our one crappified

Umm the staff working on this important change, didn't think of that. I mean it seems they wanted to make titles consistent throughout the professions but then they make such an obvious error. Maybe they don't get paid enough. I'd be willing to pay a higher subscription if they hired more competent staff.

c'mon now, fencers still have one of the uber cool titles i mean swashbuckler for crikeys sake that is awesome!

Ahoy me hearties...arrrrrrrrr. I think Master tailors should be able to craft eyepatches and skull and crossbone flags. A new vehicle from Master Artisans 'waterspeeder' and we could play pirates on the lakes near Naboo. Master Weaponsmiths should get a new schematic for a 'hook' weapon, and we'd get cutlasses. We'd need rum from the Chefs too.

We shouldn't really complain I'm sure they had a board meeting, focus group, brainstorm, cigarette, doobie, coffee over this extremely important change to the game. Then of course the change needed to be documented in a few reports so that the change could be signed off by Mr Bigwig. They probably did overtime discussing this and how it would bring in extra revenue as the 2handed community were screaming for this change or threatening to quit the game.

Its good that we get to see that our subscription fees don't go to waste. I for one always feel better when I can see them working hard to make the gaming experience so much better for us all.

Lets face it they could have renamed it Master Doofus or something.

Ah yes. I guess you are right. They do listen to us a lot. Look at the hack for example, a great piece of work there. The looks of an axe for a swordsman, the cost of a scythe and the use of a .. pole?

And didn't we all rouse up to the call and shouted them off to revamp the useless warcry? What the hell did we need a 20 sec slow attack for? KD/warcry? Pfft. They changed it allright!

As you said, this was probably a well thoughtthrough decision to add more depth to our Swordsman profession.

well the thing that strikes me is that now it makes even less sense than ever that most of "swordman's" weapons is a type of axe. so making it even less justifiledable to have all these axes and non "sword" weapon for "swordman"

I'm not too sure and/or need convincing that they even know the difference between axes/swords and hammers.

C'est la vie.

This was not a surprise. They asked various professions about new titles a while ago, and I believe this was discussed at one point on these boards. Many people, including myself, preferred having the title just be Master Swordsman. So don't blame the Devs; they did ask for and gotinput.

And, yes, there are inconsistencies with the Apprentice Heavy Swordsman being the title of Brawler 2H IV and Apprentice Swordsman being the title of Brawler 1H IV, but look at your skill tree. Did you not find it amusing that, to find out that the Novice level title was "Novice Heavy Swordsman" and the Master title was "Master Heavy Swordsman," you had to hover your cursor over a box that read "Novice Swordsman" and "Master Swordsman" respectively.

This is the same thing with Rifleman. Hover your cursor over the Novice Rifleman or Master Rifleman box, and you would find out that the titles were "Novice Sharpshooter" and "Master Sharpshooter" respecitvely. They fixed that by bringing those titles in line with the skill tree boxes as well.

I am sorry that some of you do not like it, but I, personally, have always referred to myself as a Master Rifleman and a Master Swordsman.

Besides, correct me if I am wrong, but are we not discussing this on the "Swordsman" board and not the "Heavy Swordsman" board?

Awwww but I liked 'Heavy' it made me sound 'rotund' and matched with my love of crusty pies. Now it sounds like I've been on a diet.

Give me another pie.

Are you sure? i've been trolling these forums since July when I started Swordsman, and I don't remember anything like this.
