Thread: To any TC swords testers what can you guys take on?

I Havn't grouped in a couple of days on TC...but when we went Krayt hunting the levels did not add up. What happened was you "defaulted" to the highest level in your group. So when a level 54, a L 60, and a L80 grouped up, they all displayed as level 80. On our hunting trip, there certainly wasn't any level 400's(i know i wasn't one)in the group.....And anyway, If they changed it to this way i think it would be kind of silly on the Devs part....Think about it 5 people group up for combat level 400...Not only are they untouchable in PvP, butthey can Slaughter half the game without worry.
Anyway, i'll have to log in and Group somone to see if i hit CL 160....=D

Well all I can say is - I tested my character as she is on TC-Valcyn and as a Master Swords/Master Brawler-TK I got my butt handed to me by Level 36 Riverside Sulfur Mynocks... I'm sad - very sad that all the crying from the range profession got them the complete turn around and melee got hit hard. For there to be balance both Range and Melee need to be equal - with range having benefits for somethings and melee having benefits for others. I've tested Range on TCEP3 and did much better then I did testing Melee.

I found the exact opposite. some people can play melee and but most can't. they will most likely go range. if you understand how melee works now it is fairly easy to play imo.you just need to know which skills to get and what works what doesn't vs mobs.

Swordsman isnt the problem, every profession ranged or melee is getting owned by any npc higher than level 90. As far as grouping goes, there is a lvl 80 cap right now. In pvp I tried a MSwords/MBrawler/TKM/Pikeman0040/Fencer4010 and was doing well agains almost every proffesion, i got a crafted hammer that was oing 400+dps and just using warcry, cob and healing when i got rooted. Also if you manage to kd an opponent it gives you the right amount of time to set up a power attack and you can hit for 500 damage over the armor, so swordsman is still viable after the cu.

I went Master swordsman/master commando/medic 0430 and am level 80. I used a scythe and the new sith sword and tok on a level 60 bantha, it triple incapped me....solo. Swordsman is nerfed....couldn't heal during the fight. Combat is horrid. They said as level 80 we should be able to own things weaker then us....NOT.

Hi All, 
I fought a NS Ranger and Stalker on TC last night using the same templet in my signature. I used the Sith Sword. I fought the Ranger with no problem just really slow.
The Stalker was a different story. She incapped me 3 times and never Death Blowed me. I finally gave up on the Stalker and logged out.
THE SOUND EFFECTS ARE TERRIBLE!!!!!!
EVERY SWING OF A NIGHT SISTER'S WEAPON HAD A LIGHT SABER SOUND EFFECT.
WHAT THA!?!?!?!
What is that all about?!?!?!? 
Sound is important and that just really broke all immersion for me.

Yes, Nightsisters all do Saber Hit (as reported by combat spam) as their only attack, complete with sound effects and the attack animation. This can be nothing but a bug. That's what its all about.

I've said this many times already but I guess I need to say it again! The reason you get your butt kicked is because nothing over lvl 54 has been balanced yet, yout not suppose to be fighting them yet so they made them uber tough so you couldn't. We will have to wait till they change that on TC and release the game before we can truly tell if a single profession is still viable in PVE.
From what I have seen and heard on test center is that as far as PVP goes if your not a stacker your screwed, in fact you can stack even more so now than with the CU than before! Wasn't one of there goals to eliminate stacking? Swing and a miss!!! Better try again devs...

I think the game will be ruined and many will leave, people are use to soloing things and when they cant it will spoil the game, fair enough we have never meant have been able to solo things that drop all the cool loot but we could and thats that,
its not hard to miss something you never had, but when you have had it and liked it and then get it took away it hurts. I think it will ruin the game for me as all I do now days is kill blacksun, nightsisters and GDK's.

they just balanced it and it is getting pushed to livewith next tonotesting on it done. Not to mention there are still a few bugs and inbalances in the system.
what they basically are doing is making a Server wide Beta test period. they want to see how everyone likes it. only 10% of the people that play the game post on the forums. and half the people that don't have no clue what will happen.and this is the only way they can get true feed back is by having everyone play it and see how they like it.

in response to the last post, HAH!More and more people are starting to complain to lucas arts and soe is running scared.Ram it down our throats and claim the complaints are just people getting used to it instead of the star wars name turning to sh**.Shove it through and play dumb while you stuff your pockets and run!!
