Thread: Melee powerups. Which ones do you like?

Well, guys I'm a master Artisan specializing in Melee Powerups and I can assure you that 16% is not the max for the first enhancment. I have crates of 33%/16% powerups on my vendors. Now, the maximum enhancement for damage (max or min) is I believe 16%, if that's what you meant. But you can have a 33% reduction in mind cost and a 16% increase in maximum damage for melee powerups. I have over 15 different powerup schematics for melee and they all are 33/16.

Right now I just use 16% max dmg and either 33% mind/health/action. Mind reduction is good when you are buffed, and if the weapon has a high mind cost like 2hand curved. If you're leveling speed is very usefull, or health/action reduction for hammer/curved. I remember using the health/speed powerups for hammers and it worked really well without buffs, that and a tat sunburn(pre patch).

for the life of naritus i CANNOT find a 33% max damage at all and its really frustrating i use health cost and max 32/16

I have made a gzillion melee/ranged power ups, and have never seen a max dmg over 16%. you can have ham costs and accuracy over 16% it seems, but not speed or dmg. The best power up I ever made was a action 32%, max dmg 15%, speed 8%, or around there. it makes for great dps addition. in fact I think I have schematics for one that is similar now. I also like the 30% point blank, 15% max dmg, 4% min dmg ones I make too. that would be great for a ph made with a genoshan reinforced core, cuz ph's made with those have a -2 range mod at 3m, but -40, down to -33 at 0m. this is all with speed at 6 sec and max dmg at 463. good luck out their!

I run a master artisian/ master WS on my secondary character and as it appears HAM cost and Range mods are the primary stats and can get to 30+ but damage and speed are only secondary stats and are caped at 16%. this is BS I know because Ranged power ups arn't caped like that. Gotta love the devs.

yeah thats what i thought. its a shame that ranged weapons can get krayt enhanced and double damage we can powerups.
