Hmmm....I think u are mistaken, Im only swordsman 0412 (just started 4 days ago so still new) and Im hitting tuskens for 4kat the fort all day. Im a MBH on scylla, try doing that profession and see how weak they are. Swordsman is much better off. Hell my MBHs droids dont even work. Im loving swordsman, its great for me. Now pikeman on the other hand sux, Im pikeman 0011 and it sux. I just did it because it was a holo and dont think Im going to finish it. Im gonna stick with my master brawler/master swordsman/master doc template.

-I would support keeping & balancing the current combat system.
But I get the feeling they don't care.

This is not just about pvp, or pve... it's about 92 points spent in TK being a boatload more effective than 92 points in Swordsman.

I'm not being unfair to TK. Is it my fault so many are too stupid to use doc buffs and food and spice to reducetheir HAM costs to 0? Once you do that, you can use your vibro knuckler to full effect, namely, outdamaging us versus all armor levels!See this link for the numbers:

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=swordsman&message.id=16410

Do you think that's fine? I don't.I think it's disgustinglyunbalanced.

Bleeds? Our bleeds are now worthless.

Damage type? We can do kinetic and blast. Blast damage is fun for ATSTs and turrets, but doesn't work against other meleersbecause of the awful accuracy. Furthermore, I havecomposite armorthat is 90% to both kinetic and blast, so really... how am I better off than you?

Ok,I can take out a Kunga rockshaper that you have to run from.. big deal.

the post right above me is exactly right, don't nerf tka's at all, but we have nothing that defines us as a profession, we have no cool tricks or anything that sets us apart.

I don't want meditate, I want beserk 3 which crushes things for a short period of time.

Or how bout a high ham attack that puts stun and intimidate on a target.

Or how bout swordsmen have a stronger bleed.

How bout a skill that doesn't target a specific HAM bar, but for a High HAM cost we crush the lowest HAM pool on a target. Maybe taking off10%-15% of its max pool...so what ever pool we get down first we can finish it off faster.

How bout area Status effects?

How bout a skill that gaurantees a counter attack on your enemies next attack.(with a timer of course)

Stronger resistance to status changes?

Longer lasting status changes(if we get one)

A knock-back skill that pushes our enemy back enough for us to run if we need to, just enough so that with a burst run could help us get away.

There has been many very good suggestions on this board for a long time, I think it is skills that define a profession and the player defines the role he wants to playin combat. It's all connected of course but we just need more diverse skills. Everyone does. TKM's are a great working class, I'm glad alot of people are starting to leave them alone and work on our own classes. We just need the dev's give SOME feedback as to what they have planned, 2 months with nearly no answers except "we are heading towards being high damage dealers" isn't really enough to keep my attention. Infact it sounds really boring.

LoL... Astronimcal HAM costs? Cause you swing every second... PH hams are higher pal, 98 health cost. I can empty my ham bar in 4 seconds, thats like 2 headhit 3's.

Cheech is on the money here. The bleed damage compensated for the extremely low speed. The swordsman's way was low speed, but when I hit you, look out. TKA is high speed, and very good damage. Knuckles aren't that crucial when you have upwards of +250 damage on your low end to go with your speed.

As a master sword, I was ok with that because if I did my job right and lunged them, then hit the bleed, we were running neck and neck, if I got lucky damage I win, if not, the TK will abuse me on the ground until I'm a corpse.

PvP is a race to 0, whoever gets to 0 first loses. If we have to fight a battle of dps by going blow for blow, we will lose because the class isn't constructed for it (low accuracy, low speed). With bleeds, it wasn't a battle of dps, it was land your bleed and try to survive longer than they did.

I dunno, I love swords and in pvp with TKAs I always won because of the bleeds. Now the bleeds don't do squat you can regen them. I'm good for killing newbs and turrets but against anyone who's a competitor I'm toast.

So I guess we can look forward to sucking for the next 6 months until beta 4 comes out.

Teras Kasi has no armor piercing (IF you count the knuckler we have an amazing AP1 that comes at huge ham cost).

I can make 22/35/22 HAM cost VK's. You can loot much better ones that still have AP1 and the option of going bare-handed really isn't bad.

My best Power Hammers have a 100 health HAM cost, 25% greater than my total VK ham costs combined.

'nuff said.

I usually try to keep my nose out of class comparisons but I really, really don't understand complaints about TKA HAM costs.

Thx you StGabriel.

All of us PvPers have no choice but to go TKA which is crap. Everyone in their mother is a TKA and that is why I didnt want to do it.

The nerf of the bleeds are killer, that was our huge advantage, were still a mind whacker profession, but swordsman remains slow and inaaccurate, and w/o the powerfull mind bleed, I find it worthless, I have TKM which i'd use 100% over master 2h

yea the bleed sux big time but the thing that helps any swordsman is sea's.I have +24 extra to 2 handed accuracy on a shirt, andi hit with double the frequency with a ph then when i am not wearing the shirt. So instead of outright leaving the proff just try and shop around . I know its not really ganna help anyone but just telling u guys that +24 goes a LONG WAY.
