Little information about vibro axes and power hammers... Firstlyb4 the patch i had a vibro axe 87-207 dmg 4.1 spd (after slicing) 79/45/20 HAM costs -20 all the way down for to hit bonus and it's AP 1. Now b4 the patch a 2hmeleehit 2 cost me 110 health and action after the patch 45 health and action( that's a signifigant reduction to me not sure why people complaining ham wasn't reduced) Yesterday after the patch i bought a Power Hammer that is dmg 107-425 spd 6.1 after slicing HAM cost 104/35/15 -40 to hit all the way down this weapon costs me 64 health and action to do a 2h melee hit 2 and is Blast dmg instead of kinetic and also is AP2.

you will not see curved unsliced below 2,5spd.

Thats really great if they improved powerhammer. **edit**, do you see the insane damage? Would really like to know what it was before slice.

Not necessarily.

It is possible that no change will happen whatsoever to the weapons. If you look at all the other professions with weapons (pistoleer, carbineer, rifleman etc.) you see the same progression of usefulness meaning none.

Take a Pistoleer for example. Most of them are using a Scout Blaster, they got that weapon at the Marksman profession. Their special gun cert is the DX2 which compared to a Scout Blaster has sucky stats. It can not compare in damage outputor speed. The only difference is Acid damage instead of Energy (much like the Power Hammer with Blast rather than Kinetic).

So, it would seem that they are just making it the same across the board.

So, you believe me now?

Honestly, I think it's fine. Cleaver should have a slight damage increase, but Power Hammer is still worthwhile because it does Blast instead of Kinetic, at least IMO. Check out the resists on high level creatures, a lot will say 65% Kinetic, 30% Blast. That's a BIG difference.

So, don't carry only your PH or only your Cleaver/Samurai, carry one of each and use the one that's right for the situation.

Two handed cleavers will be better than two handed curved swords once their non-working optional swordcores start working. They are also AR2 and not AR1 like someone said before, if you don't believe me, go buy one and check, the armor piercing will say MEDIUM.

Kinsei and Nagorak seem to have the right of it. The real use for any of the weapon certs you get at Novice ______ is for the special attack type, whether it be Acid, Stun, Blast, whathaveyou. It's more of a situational weapon than a real general use weapon.
