To be honest I'm kinda happy that the schems are as easy to find as they are. As antares points out, these are a lot easier to get than Energy Lance schematics.
Hopefully we'll find some new ways to get access to these over time. My concern is primarily: what do you do after the quest is done. Hopefully there is some rare but renewable method for obtaining more schems (and if none is found after time I think that we should probably push for this).

That's the joy of a completely player-run economy.

im pretty sure im dropping swordsman if i don't get a decent scythe.
the kinetic dmg is just pathetic.
My DXR-6 is better then that....
5.3 251-582 with a pup ![]()

Ok, i musta missed where he said there are 3 ways to get the schem, so we know one, the krayyt quest, whats the other 2? At this point im also presuming they are limited use schems from quests that can only be completed a set number of times. We need to really try and find the other 2 ways to see what they are.

Well, Thunderheart did:
Just a tip: cool:
All players can do this quest and will always be able to it at least once. There are also two other ways to get the scythe.

What you guys need to do is loot bone shards from the last dude in the Geno cave. This is from a MWS on Tempest:
"Acklay Bone Shards. These are good. They are used in weapons that require a Reinforced Core (Powerhammer, Stun Baton, Gaffi). I have seen them up to 140-143 which makes for a high damage Powerhammer or Gaffi. Because they have no speed or ham modifiers, the resulting weapon is slower but has lower hams. To get a feel for the value, a PowerHammer of 469 @ 5.3 will end up as 565 @ 5.7 with a 143 bone (pre-slice), and have 10 less on all hams and around -10 extra on to hit modifiers (slower, harder to hit with, but better hams). Dont think of using one of these Bone Hammers unless you are a Master Heavy Swordsman. "
So that's a little something. Also, one of my guild's MWS who also plays on Test Center says there's a new Power Hammer schematic. Not sure about that, but would be cool if it's true.

The acklay bones are nice but im more interested in the scythe for pvp purposes. I had some 189 max damage bones but the hit modifier on the resulting powerhammers were -40 at all ranges, my standard hammers are -19. The few scythes ive made are about 340 2.6 with +10 hit mods. Please, keep on the look out for the other 2 ways to get the scythe schem.
