nice resources! our best right now is 999 sr steel and 964 kammris iron, I made a hammer with 520's dmg with those, range mod is low though, like the old pikes... shudder...

i've been using it on lord nayx and i hit him as much as i did with a normal -30 hammer.

accuracy foods aren't working at the moment - so when they do it will be working even better.

i had that in mind and the defense nerf when making them.

speed isn't a problem as i have a 91 speed with clothing mods, i don't find it to be slow at all.

for every point you put into accuracy you lose a lot of dmg, so if i made it high accuracy it would have defeated the point.

and if i miss a few swings it doesn't matter.........im hitting around 4-5k a hit on average

accuracy has been more of an issue in pvp, also I have been told over and over in the pvp area my -14 hammers do hit more often than my -21 hammers. This is what I have been told since I no longer have combat skills.../cry.../sob..

its mostly an issue because of defense stacking.

i have some -7 hammers but because of stacking, mitigation ect they are worthless.

when stacking is gone or controlled it wont be an issue.

and the mitigation on this hammer is just as good as a scythe.

i tested it myself

so ifa -7 hammer is just as good as a -21 hammer how does a +4 5.3 spd 400 damage hammer stack up for pvp?

oh and nice hammers there, got to get me some acklay bones

Well I know that switching from a -30 hammer to a -19 hammer made a big diffence for me in PVE at the holo base south of lake retreat, and that was with like weeks of testing since I was camping. Also I know that going from my -55 pike to my -19 hammer in pvp made a difference and I was master pike, and 0443 in sword just a few weeks ago. So for me I have noticed a difference, now if it has had a stealth nerf, I don't know. But for me, the mods have always shown a difference.

I am guessing haun would have some armor attachements for the speed, I wish I did. Yeah those are very good hammers, really nice on the damage range too. The accuracy and speed is the bane of the weapon, but with armor attachements it wouldn't be so bad.

i named one of my first set of acklay hammers Mjolinir

oh yah, and and gimperial..........

DEATH TO FALSE METAL!!!

to concerns about accuracy i can only give you my experinces.

thereis a diff in a -7 hammer and a -40 hammer.

no doubt.

but in pve you can afford to miss a few times (especially with crazy dmg) because you will have plenty of time to take down your target - those who are grinding might need more accuracy because they have less power - but if you are a master and you know the next attack will hit............

Inthe current incarnation of PVP you can't afford to miss and with a regular -30 hammer you aren't going to hit somebody with 200 melee defense more than a few times anyway. but that is not why i stopped using hammers in PVP.

and why i had a two hand axe with +22 accuracy made

but more improtantly than accuracy in all this is MITIGATION - it made me drop my hammer more than anything.

hammers were a viable option in PVP before mitigation but afterwards....even with a +10 they just are not worth the HAM cost. a two handed axe will outdamage a hammer in pvp against another brawler and is more accurate.

so two handed axes were just the best of both worlds (except against ubese and ranged folk )

but if you have a hammer with 380-770 mitigation is hardly the same beast that it was.

i even tested it on some armored folks and i did the same amount of damage as a scythe would.

there are many factors that come into play and combat is a constant game of give and take, weakness and strength.

i do what is best for me with the knowledge i have in combat.

ok I misunderstood then. Yeah, all the weapons are situational, that is why I have such a wide variety. None of hte weapons are worthless, but all have thier place, that is all I was tryin to say, and that is what you ended up saying. so, there ya go.

Accuracy isn't as much of a factor if you get some dead-eye serum.

Heh, I've been a swordsman since forever, and I never seem to be able to get good weapons or SEA's, heh. I think I'm just gonna save up a load of cash and try to buy one. One good thing I see coming from all the swordsmen nerfs, is that it will make a lot of people surrender swordsman, which means less competition for me .
