Err I looted 5 exeptional lances last night in about an hour hunting nightsisters, didn't fight anything above a protector either, they weremostly from outcasts and rangers. Depends what you mean by exeptional though, none of themare amazing but theyare exeptional, one nightsister lance had an interesting willpower disease DOT but the strength is low (about 50).

i looted an exceptional vibro axe off a protector, tho had crappy stats and a -1, 32 str action fire
