there are 2 or 3 pieces of armor that don't decay (and don't add any resists, just a "light" rating). One is the ubese belt, another is I think an ubese shirt (could be wrong about this), and another is a mabari bandolier I think. If you put attachments in these you don't have to worry about losing them.

Am I correct in saying that if I put a +3 speed and a +5 speed in the same ubese belt that the system would only see the +5 instead of a total of 8?

You cannot put two of the same attachments in one piece of armor or clothing. You'd be wasting the attachment that you add second since it does nothing if that skill is already on the piece. That is partially why attachments with high +s go for so much, you don't have to use many different pieces of armor.

Yeah, you put a 2-handed mod in the article, then put another of the exact same mod with a different value it will only keep the higher of the 2, they don't combine. If you have a +3 2hand speed and a +1 2 hand speed they need to go in seperate articles of clothing/armor to get +4 to you stat sheet. If you put them both in the same thing you will only have +3.

An answer to your bonus question. Yes =)
My acklay hammer is 6.0 speed, 254-870... without powerup... looted some very nice acklay bones a while back. I have +100 2-handed speed. I take juvi krayts in a matter of seconds... and canyon krayts about 5-7 minutes. It's all about the speed attatchments. don't know about on your server, but on our server 2-handed speed attatchments are rediculously priced. I just bought a +11 for over 6 million.
but it's well worth it... now i'm speed-capped

Didn't TH say that speed/accuracy was capped at +25 over natural? Or is it +125 total?

I think that skill attachments are capped at a total of +25. Lucky for us most Acklay Hammers are speed 6.0, which requires +24 from base Master Swordsman.
