Thread: Master Swordsman vs Master Fencer
Beating a fencer is a piece of cake!
You just need:
to migrate fully to mind in order of priority mind/focus/willpower (regneration is worth nothing in a duel)
Thatikillo with at least 90 points of knockdown defense
Initmidation enhancing bio clothing (to get above the fencers intimidate defense, intimidate 2 applys every time with additional mod of 25 due bio enhanced clothing)
use intimidate1 (risky) or better intimdate 2
Hit a mind bleed
and
scalp slam them down
Note that the Scythe is better in almost every case. Since master fencers have melee damage mitigation 3 and the speed of the Scythe is absolutyl superior. You will get a lot higher damage output with your Scythe and it has better range modifiers which is very important against high defense enemys!
Explanation:
Intimidate2 reduces their damage output by 50 % and decreases their secondary defenses by 50 %. So you wont miss the fencer anymore. If you still miss him get some citrus snow cake for some additional accuracy.
Their damage output shouldnt be high anyway. Since acklay and uber stun battons have a high damage range and will most likely result in damage from 20-50.
PREPARATION is everything. The most prepared wins. You have to know the game to prepare yourself. Everything you need to have is knowledge of this game.
I myself think, by the way, that player versus player combat is quite unchallenging and too repeatitive. At least in the form of duels. I consider challenging another human by playing games like Battlefield 1942 much more interesting and more balanced. (count Battlefield Vietnam out)

I got of course the pistol techniques tree. My dizzy defense is high enough to stand up even while being dizzyed. But thats mostly doesnt even has to kick in because my knockdown and posture change defense is soo high that they almost never manage to get me posture chagned or knocked down before their dizzy expires. Plus the time they are wasting on that cheap technique is valuable round time which they wont hit my mind pool.
If you have just a heavy swordsman against a master fencers, without additional skills. Then i would bet on the fencer. But if you build up a nice template with heavy swordsman as core. Then the fencer is in clear disadvantage. Because you can easyly build up equal defenses but you will be able to deal out a lot more damage. And yes i have been attacked by a max damage 200 acklay stun batton and even without stun armor it just ended up around 20 points of damage (the fencer was intimidated).
Its all about preparation.
And i said regneration is worth nothing because you focus is more important than willpower. The drain you will suffer by a low focus negates the benefit of high willpower.
Of course regneration is handy. But the drain rate attributes are much more important!
