Ugh, I hate, hate, HATE those battles. Ranged people killing everything, and Melee people just staring across the battlefield. I hardly ever make it to the other side to hit anybody let alone get into a fight. Be a man! Hit me! come on you know you want to. lol

I've been kicking that idea around, but I wanted to keep the extra ranged defenses. Also, pulling mobs is easy with rifleman. You don't aggro the world when you start blasting.

hmm, many seem to go for 4/0/0/4 in TKA, but is the plain melee/ranged defenses really worth it? I took 4/3/0/0 in TKA instead. There are other kinds of defenses in the 0/3/0/0 line, such as combat equilibrium. KD/dizzy is still a very good combo and I really value the large chances of fast getting back up from that, more than the small decrease in the number of times I'm hit. Especially small in PvE vs. high end mobs, which have such a high accuracy mods anyway that any defense you can muster is virtually nothing in the non linear accuracy scale...

I'm TKM/M Brawler/M Swords/Fencer 0420/1000 Medic TKM is useful for when you get in trouble asyou takes much less damage if you switch to it while you recover plus meditate force of will and KD'dizzy are useful. Although I have thought of dropping some TKM skliis and getting master fencer.

Good pt, I had forgotten about the increased toughness mods of a tkm.

Those big huge 60m battles sux. Thats why i stick to staying in towns like ancorhead moenia and player citys and let them come to me in a nice cantina or oatpost.

i had both but for this id go master braler as i gives you lunge 2 , KD at 20m , intemidate 2 and also +5 twohanded speed and an acc bonus as well which does help alot when you are useing swordman tka defence are very good but i droped then for master bralwer

Im in the same situation, Im master Smuggler (I wont drop this) and just dropped 4440 doc to make my guy a loot whore, so i figured swords would be a good choise. Im almost master swords; a couple more hours then ill need to decide where to put the other points. I was planning Master smuggler/Master swordsman/4004 TKA/ with 18 points left to toggle medic/scout... that gives me 82 melee def and 62 ranged.


As a former tka fencer stacker with 125 melee defence, Im not sure im gonna get the desired results with only 82 melee defence so im not sure that going master brawler instead of 4004 tka isnt the better way to go (dropping me to a pittiful 27 melee 22 ranged defence)


From the posts in this thread, ya'll seem to be divided about 50/50. What id like to add is that this character will be primarily PvE. PvP isnt a part of my plans. Im looking for a good Nightsister murderer. so do you think the +5 speed and intimidate2 will make up for the loss of55 melee defence and the inability to cure myself after a battle?
