I almost exclusively PvE, speed and spin are very important to me, area attacks were the last tree for me. Not to say I don't find them useful but my most favorite attack.
A word on intimidation, keep your opponent intimidated at all times, I don't know or care what the description says but it definitely lowers the defenses of your opponent. In PvP, an intimidated fencer, master or otherwise, cannot dodge any of my attacks. Harder to test this in PvE but I think is it reasonable to assume it has the same affect on AI.
