more damage per hit, not per second. but doing 8000+ dmg (not including AP2 mods) in 8 seconds with 2 head hit 3's doesn't seem so bad. at 0/3/0/3 swordsman i'm doing fine. at tka at about thatlevel the most i could do is 1200/hit and 90 HAM cost per hit (has to be with vk's or it'll drop to every 2 secs). it would take 7seconds and 540 HAM to do random pool damage and not guarantee having killed the mob. it's taking me 2 hits in 8 seconds and only 308 HAM to kill nearly any mob i level with. there are more misses at swordsman, but not too many since you can get power ups and decent range modded hammers(mine rangedfrom-8 to -13) if your server has the resources.

TKA is not overpowered



our buffs only last about 5 minutes or so. Thats not even really worth using now is it?



we cannot buff secondaries only HAM doc buffs are still better to use



we can heal wounds but its not instant or as quick as a master doc



so leave TKA alone and either A. get your profession fixed or



B. learn to play your class

first, the power boost is a lot more powerfull you seems to know. It can buff buff mind up to 550. Nice advantage to have a 1600 mind by myself. Second, you have an overpowered kd who dizzy the target so he can't stand up. Something that no other melee class have. After battles, you heal your disease and poison in a minute. Nice thing too after a fight against seething bol crusher.

oh give me a break



so what powerboost only lasts 5 mins or so



and even if we get a mind buff its nowhere near as powerful as a dancers



try to get your profession fixed dont try to get TKA nerfed

TKA does not need a nerf. Its one of the weakest classes I've ever played, actually. I can do far more damage as a swordsman.

asa point of intrest, 2hhit3 dizzys now and again as dose Area3. If you pay attention and don't fill your combat queue with spam (know by most as USING YOUR FRICKEN HEAD), its a simple matter of applying one of our many posture change attacks till they kneel. at wich point they try to stand and BAM!! dizz/kd. at wich point the target should swiftly die unless your slow with the headhit3 or they have more luck than an entire pool full of lucky charms.



My My My, you say Dizz/kd is over powered, well put us on the fast train to nerf right along with the TKs



also, the last time i check it wasn't to hard to snag the med tree, there by becomeing a Bladed Monk, Space Samurai, Galactic Ninja, or my personal favorite, That guy with a Bigg F-ing Hammer



If it ain't broke, look for something that is and fix that.

TK was doing twice the damage over timecompared to the other melee professions (easily double), so the options were1) Nerf TK damage or 2) Start making the other classescomparable in asskicking power.


Swordsman just got a doubling of damage output with the scythe blade (nobody really believed me when I said our DPS needed to be doubled, did they? yet, look what we got), it appears option 2 is the way things are going.


The next step is probably for Pikeman and Fencer to get some new weapons to increase their damage output. I don't expect TK to get any nerfage in the damage department, except for the straight up +250 damage bonus to be changed into a form that mitigation works against, so they will be working with the same limitations everyone else is in pvp.


Also, Powerboost for a TKM lasts a full 10 minutes not counting the boost up and cooldown phase, and is phenomenally useful, especially the mind buff aspect of it.I hope it doesn't get nerfed because then I will have to figure out what to do with the points I put into the TK meditation line.

Sorry for my bad english olifant, with "big guy" i just wanted toexplainthe difference between a fast, quick moving Teras Kasi and an heavy armed Swordsman which should have slower but more poweful attack. (in my opinion)


I dont think the size of your toon should have any ingame effect.

Teras Kasi's main advantage, is meditate. They can buff their stats, the can heal their wounds, they can cure poison, disease, and bleeds, and they get two lives.

Don't even try to downplay meditate. I'm a swordsman, but I have TKA too just for meditate, because it's so damn good.

Do I think they need a nerf? No way. But I do think we need some beefing up.

and how bad is the kd dizzy when i am wearing 80% kenetic resistance armor head to toe? the tka can beat on me til the cows come home and he wont kill me

At Ranged Professions you need more Skills than a single Skilltree, e.g. Commando --> Need Master Brawler, BH needs a scout too. All other professions are only able to attack ONE specific Pool, TKA can attack Action AND Mind. Also they have a dizzy KD like the Bounty Hunter. (ok, its melee)
Think about it, dont Flame and Lame,





TKA was designed with teh master brawler pre-requisite. It was removed later in the beta but they kept their extra-abilities (hit any pool, meditation line). Right now with defense acuity broken, I think they're good enough and fair, but I'd like to see some improvement (/balance) for the others elite brawler class.
