The scythe isnt what you all think it is it looks extremly badass and Nym has one on his wall go check out his place on lok ..... its kinda like a double bladed sword cant really describe it good enough just check it out =p personally i dont care the stats i just want one cuz it looks so badass though i really do hope its nice when it finally is in game

Isn't a Scythe what a grim reaper has? I hope that it is cuz that would be sweet. If so, they need to hurry up and put them in t he game.

I know what it looks like. =P In the room in Nym's palace with all the weapons, there are all the 2 handed weapons sitting there, including something that looks like a huge blade with 2 holes to hold with. It looks, by far, the coolest 2 handed weapon.

last time I checked scythes were used for cutting wheat or hay. You swing it close to the ground. It has a protuding handle for your left hand (if your right handed.. imagine a broom with a handle about waste high)

They gave the Grim Reaper one (Dante or one of the Gothic artists) and thats how it became such and intimidating symbol. In reality an "oldy styled" scythe would hit oneat the wrong angleif it were aimed at the head.

Now if we had some sort of REAL SWEEP ATTACK that actually took an opponent;s feet out from under them and thus severally damaging their ability to KITE US... a scythe might be aamazing weapon. But then we would need a new animation to go with the scythe.

The one shown in surrounding posts at Nym's is a totally unrealistic example of what a scythe is since you'd have to bend over about 4 feet to harvest with it... but it sure would be nice to carry around town.

The reason there is no scythe then.. is most likely that there is no animation to go with it.

Bah, scythes are farmers' weapons. What next, the pitchfork?

lol scythes are farmers weapons lol, yes they are, but they can be pretty sweet in a fight hehe, anyone seen Interview With the Vampire?

I grew up on a farm and I know they have a lot of potential to be a truly nasty weapon.
