I guess that Shadowfire is a pretty good server in this regard. I have personally never had this happen to me or my guild. We are Imp and we were on Endor Gorax hunting and had a Reb guild near us. We were a group of 3 and they were about 6-7 with a jedi. When a Gorax popped and both groups converged we got in the first hit and they stood around and actually offered encouragment and never once tried to steal it even though they could have easily. I think this was obviosly a group of mature players who were not after the loot per say but the fun that can be had in this game when playing with friends.

I think the majority of people who do this are either very young and just like to upset people or are teenagers that are in the game to just get all the uber stuff before someone else does.
