I haven't been melee in a while, since COB first came out, and it was broken for TK back when I was one. Well, I just became a swordsman, and to be honest I'd forgotten all about it until this post. But didn't COB used to be nullified after a special was used? Did they change it? Or have I always been this dumb?

No, COB is not nullified after using a special.
