dunno what template you have...but i have a double melee mastery, i have a 1120 ph, and even puped to 1180, i dont have 505.5dps.

TKM, M Swords... been pvp'n during village downtime and have never lost to a ranged profession yet... almost 20 fights... 15 of them incapped while they were 50m away 
since root is so easy to spam it seems, find yourself a nice advanced laser rifle... high damage, high dps, one without marksmanship qualifications... i just lost my carb due to poor maintenance with a base dps of 340 and was hitting for more than a melee strike... every little bit helps... i have the icon in a hotkey for when i get rooted... CoB, Sword Flurry, hotkey rifle, spam /attack (which i have in a hotkey as well), heal when needed, numlock once it breaks to shoot til i get close enough, unequip weapon, kd, & critical... rinse and repeat as necessary... just wish i could see the look on the controllers face when he gets incapped by a pure melee at 50m, muahhahhahaha....

oh yea... make sure you have the food and stuff as well...

Just a tip though> sword flurry won't give you any extra defense on top of cob - cob caps out defenses.
i think i'm gonna have to go hunting for a good rifle/carb now
