I don't think you can bypass the cap completely. If what you're saying is correct and you are swinging faster than 1/sec there has to be a low cap. If not it bring up odd issues like: If you have +13 in speed attachments and +12 in FS speed you'd be swinging infinitely fast (+100spd) and anything you fought would die immediately. Rifleman would similarly shoot infinitely fast with the FS speed line.

Same here i could tell, considerable speed adjustment, +12 would make an expensive CA,

Now if Force Speed 2 in Force Celerity III works with hammers and swords, I'll be one real happy camper

not if there was simply a cap on the total player modifier and not the final result. I am not sure how that would be coded though with the cap we have noticed. It is possible that the equation is more complex then Ren is showing even if until now it has come out to the same effective equation.

sure it must work....
speed cap depends on special and hammer speed, but for area3 and mind3 92-93 around it is for hit3 its 95 to cap with all hammers.
swords speedcap is a must for good dam output.. FS skills just save you 20-30 millions on tapes.

i did some better testing on this ( yes actually timered and looked at log file) and i was wrong initially. The speed cap still exists
i took my scythe out which is like 2.3 speed and whacked a 64k lair. It died in 30 seconds and i swung my scythe 30 times. Can anyone please explain why my previous macro behaves the way it does? It just doesnt seem right

Yeah I can:
I have a macro (Im a speed capped rifleman) that spams headshot 3 every 0.5 seconds.
Same as yours.
If it really went off every 0.5 seconds i would see 2 headshot3 in the queue for every shot. I dont.
I tried taking away the 0.5 second delay so only have headshot3 then repeat macro.
Worked exactly as fast.
Seems you can only macro at just under 1 second. Must be something the devs added intentionally to reduce lag.
Doesnt cause a problem as you can only fire at 1 second minimum anyway.

In response to the person above wondering if it would take weeks to get this.. the answer is yes.. you can't even get this skill unless you have a free unlock even if you did have the exp because the Village is not in the phase giving you melee speed, and yes it will probably take weeks to get the exp to fill up the branch unless you exp 24/7. Also, it costs Skill points.. Armor Attachments, and Clothing attachments don't.

True but you are also one step closer to jedi,

I entered the Village yesterday for the first time. I go see the XP dude and he tells me i have a free branch yay!!!
I go for melee speed. And i have to say that I was very happy! i never grinded, only did 4 profs since i've started playing (medic/doc/TK/swordsman) and i got a free +12 speed! Time to get a Big Dmg Hammer now!
Accuraccy seems to be working btw, even if i'll most probably level ranged speed first.

I have the Enhanced Melee Speed +12 now, but honestly, I don't see any difference in my attacks than what I did before. Using my 4.5 spd PH, I was hitting about 1 hit per second at master Sword. Now, with +12 melee speed, I still hit at about 1 hit per second. Am I just looking at this the wrong way???

LOL mate...
if you already had like 95 speed then you already hit the cap... well you could actually sell your attachements / your stuffs with attachements to others. It won't be any faster than 1 hit / 1 sec mate.
