The 2-handed grouping makes sense to me, but like so many other things, you wonder what was going on in developers' heads...

welcome to being a swordsman (ie. wielder of a 2handed weapon) nobody said you get a gynormous sword to carry all the time, just a upright held weapon that requires 2 hands to use.

i disagree. the powerhammer is the only thing we got going for us atm *which isnt that bad

call me crazy, but i dont think we should have 1 handed called fencers and 2 handed called swordsman. sure, swordsman use stronger swords then fencers which require them to be 2 handed. sure, fencers use light no ap weapons quickly and are fast. but i think 2 handed should be given another name except swordsman. maybe one of those tier 4 lvl boxes names like berserker or something simliliar. fencers can be called something related to fast, accuracy swordsmanship. that way we cant have all this "im a fencer, give me fencing swords. im a swordsman, why use a hammer " stuff. itll just be: im a (insert new 2 handed name here) . isacrifice defense in order to wield big, strong 2 handed weapons and hit for alot of damage. and im a (insert new fencer name here) i sacrifice extreme damage in favore of good defense, quick dodging, and accurate and fast attacks. as long as the names are good, id be happy wit that. but if they keep fencer/swordsman, i agree, give fencers a small decent sword and swordsman a sword thats on par w/ the hammer.
i would say give swordsman a weapon kinda like a modern age bstard sword, but the cleaver is already like that.

I think what the author of this thread was trying to say, is that it's ridiculous that the most powerful weapon in the swordsman arsenal is, infact, a hammer, we're not hammermen...i think.

omg, do u guys have nothing else to bicker at so u go on about a freaking power hammer for god sakes? like seriously who freaking cares about it, the game is perfect, its not real life, nothing has to be all nice nice goody goody.
And to anyone who complains about prices, and weapons not equal, why the hell should everything in the game be equal? There is always htings that some poeple cant afford, and some people can. There will always be someone who has better everything then you. Im tlaking about in this game and rl to...unless ur bill gates

Actually it was the existence of a hammer in theprof and that it was one of the most powerful weapons, but now it's the most powerful? When did this happen?

When Ackley Bones showed up and the FS Village Quests allowed for easier speed capping with weapons like the power hammer, yeah, that sounds about right.
