Awesome idea, I love it.

Fencers get regular sword and shield... (perhaps a skill tree for shield defense?)

and Heavy Swordsman get a two handed sword and a buckler.

For those of you who dont know, a buckler is a shoulder shield that straps on to your upper arm and can be used to block blows aimed for the head by leaning.... Its hard to explain. You kinda have to see one to understand.

I guess pikemen could use em too. As for how though, I wouldn't know.

As for TKA, give em something else likebracers (metal wrist gaurds).

Im sure that would make all the melee classes very happy. Lets push this issue until we at least get a respose
