yes, you can 1-hit tka's as you can any1. but i bet he had around 3 or 4 hundred mind. also id say that normally a swordsman would miss with a ph. so if you get a great mind hit off, and they have low mind, and you hit them first, and you dont miss, then youll win. but thats quite a lot of criteria. congrats tho.

Yeah, this game is still pretty broken.

A skilled gunfighter should always be able to beat a melee fighter in a duel. (run and gun)
A skilled swordsman should always be able to beat an unarmed man.

Lastly, unarmed combat should be for roleplaying and fighting NPCs.

Instead, we have it where not only can a skilled gunfighter bleed you and run but you can't go toe to toe with a guy who doesn't even have a weapon.

Mind you, im a rifleman/swordsman. So it doesnt bug me much, head shot and head hit.

Well that might be true if it wasnt a TKA but TKA's are MONKS trained in the art of unarmed making them much stronger then any other "unarmed persoN" with the new speed cap personally i think their damage should be lowered alittle but give them the .5 speed to represent that they are a tad faster

I don't know what TKA's you guys have been fighting, but unless they intimidate me or warcry me, I will not lose. Its a given, that you need to attack the mind... Honor? In battle there is no such thing as honor. I will agree with some of you, that I will not run in a fight, but I will attack enemies weakness. Personally, when I fight any melee character, I look to see what they are weakest in... which should be what you all do before any fight. If in mind... mind bleed, and head hit... etc. If in any other stat (which is usually not the case with a melee) then I work on getting a dizzy first, along with a mind bleed. Once the dizzy is applied I then lower the posture and move away so they have to move forward to get to me, insuring thatthe dizzy works. At that point, its over. There should be no reason a TKA beats a Swordsman. Most TKA's don't have really any mind, so beat the crap out of it. If anything, each match should end in a draw, because once that mind bleed is applied, lol, its over anyway.

Oh, and a note to those who did not know... Mind bleed is stackable. Use mind bleed 1 and 2 and that fight always ends pretty much after the first bleed effect.

oh yeah, and to whoever said to add mods to the weapon... its really only necessary to add damages mods to your weapons. When you reach master, your speed is maxed out anyway, so you hit the speed cap already and speed mods would be useless. I personally don't use any mods though. I don't feel like having to pay attention to whether or not I have enought mods so that if I run out, I always have more. I have that to worry about being a Commando with needing to have grenades. Which brings me to another subject... how come TKA's gets to be the proffession to lead to Commando, and no other melee. The Commando prof. doesn't even use any melee, so whats the point. I think that all melee professions should be able to access the commando profession. Join my Cause!!! All Melee for the Commando!!! All Melee for the Commando!!!

lol s0ul have you ever fought a tkm master? The chances of a Swordsman beating a tka isnot impossible but it ishard. For one they attack faster they get +15 speed in all the power and speed line while we only get 2 +15. When you get knocked down (you will unless u decide on no KD's) all they do is spam that unarmed hit 3 or another powerful move, and while your own the ground it does more damage. Plus, you are dizzy so you can't get up. Even when I had the chance to do the first move i'm not guaranteed a dizzy on my target because we don't have a move that ensures dizzy, just a small chance.Try fighting a TK master and see what we are talking about. Speed, damage and technique are all they use to knock us out the whole match. Mind bleed is useful but most of the time the duel never lasts that long. Good luck.

I guess I'm just lucky.

I fought several Master Teras Kasi Artists this weekend and never did I die from them alone attacking me, and I killed them several times.

This one tried to repeatedly knock me down but fortunately combat equillibrium kicked in and I was automatically back on my feet (still dizzy but mobile) to kill her in four cuts.

I'm only Master Swords/Master Doc so my resists are for the swords class and my race (zabrak) but if you have trouble with knockdown or dizzy and have the points I'd suggest investing in the fencing Footwork line or another defensive line from one of the other brawler elite classes. Defenses DO work now, and rather well. UKD2 is not the be all end all of combat, especially if you have the armor and defenses to survive the damage while you're on the ground if you can't get up fast.
