There's a pretty obvious reason for the massive influx of Swordsmen and women recently.... FS xp... MSwords+FS Melee Spd IV= 900k xp faster than you can say Powerhammer.. That's all. Should all the people who are grinding for FS stop using the best tool available to them to work through an awful, awful system in order to get what they want? I think not.. Human nature to find the best tool for the job at hand. That's all these poor people are doing.. Sure, it dilutes the profession for the Puritans, the people who have been Swordspeople since as long as they can remember,andI can see how it would annoy these people that the profession they treat with respect and love is filled with these "leeches" at the moment, but hell... We're all here to have fun, right?

Well I could care less if people want to become swordsman like myself 
I honestly feel that SWG has too many profs (yes diversity is a good thing if tehir coders can do things right) and that causes other profs to be neglected; smuggler for example. There are numerous profs and weapons that are not found in any movies etc. I would rather see some profs eliminated and given to NPCs (or not cost skillpoints to get) instead and fix my smuggler!!
Case in point; Image Designer, Politian, etc

Dude 90% of people out there have TK. And people go swordman and rifleman because it is only proffessions that can kill something. People who have TKM never kill anything stronger than janta shaman. All other combat proffessions are good for nothing in PvE. Fencer has no potential in PvE, it is good in PvP thou. Carabineer no PvE potential. Pistoleer - 8(. Pikeman - you miss more than you hit. Commando - fire dot that is nerfed. BH - only eye shot for PvP. So dont go there m8, people will choose the best possible proffessions ATM. Currently swordman/rifleman are the ones.

i choose to be Ranger/Swordsman on my own account, my own freewill, and my own fancy for heavy melee weapons, not because the guy next to me is of the same profession. there are plenty of TKA's running around aswell, and fencers, and ranged, just takes some mental power and some 1st grade common sense at the least to realise that playing the whole "everyone is a trendy and i hate them" role is getting very outdated, very immature, and a pathetic excuse for YOU being frustrated about lacking a normal life.

I am a pikeman b/cause it is fun, and its the best melee proffession that there is, and i used to be the most unique person at the startport. I am doing swords again, yes again, one time for holo, this time i wanna be able to get the weapons that i need to PvP. Imagine if the only way for you to get acklay hammers was if they made the acklay have 100% to blast and kinetic, then put its electricity at -, so i could kill it and u cant. Thats how it is for pikeman, Axkva Min. newp, NS elder, nope. If i want a good weapon i have to buy it, or i have to pick up a proff. that can hunt them and go get it myself..... and thats what i am doing, getting it myself, + i found a 650 sliced Powehammer for 400k and i really wanna use it. . .

I have swordsman, and im original!
For starts, i have master marksman, scout 4xxx, brawler 2241, swordsman x4x2, bounty hunter 0004, medic 2xxx
Tell me that aint original? And... AND! I have pink hair! Madness! MAAAAAAAAAAAADNES!

Don't make one more idiotic thread like this. The reason as too why a lot of people are swordsman or rifleman is obvious and nothing will be done to change it.
However, all will change with the arrival of the combat rebalance
