Thread: I can't wait till Swordsman works.
Okay first of all i need to say to remind some of us to keep in context, this is dicussion about swordman, not swordman + another profession = good swordman. that is not what it is about. Now to correct a few people, i dosent matter if you wear a composite armour with over 80% kinetic resistance you still die, TKA's damage system is broken because most of it is done due to thier skill base which is also uneffected by damage migration. Believe me i know i have stacked 124 melee defense and duel with a pure Tera Kas master and still loose, even when we were doing specail, we was in plain clothing and i was in composit with speed sliced power hammer (being inaccurate isnt the issue in this case because i hit most of my attacks)
Yes TKA CAN do more mind damage than we do but this is due to the damage migration before that came in to play we could actualy kill in one or two hit if we get close this dosent happen anymore/very very rare. The accuratcy isnt a problem you just need to find a weapon smith who will spend thier time making you a decent weapon. This issue is 80% to do with weapon smith not understanding that we need accuratcy not just raw power, 20% is still the game mechanics to put our best weapon to be difficult to craft as decent one.
Swordman DID work properly but the game was still unbalance then and even more so now, with ever major patch seemingly ruin the already out of touch swordman. Our areaAttack3 supose to work out simular to TKA's KD+dizzy move, due to the change of timing now simply lowering somebody posture after dizzy no longer work as it should. This needs to be fix, either by fixing the mechanics or just give us a knockdown+dizzy and make the chances of it working more often not once in a blue moon. blah blah many issues of swordman. Swordman was working okay, but the game wasnt balanced and with everypatch it seems bad news for swordman. i have survive quite well thanks to the aid of stacking defense but with next patch that will not likely to work and i am a die hard swordman fan might even think of moving to other profession that do work.
Its not if your against a tka, or if your swordsman, or what weapon your have ......
Cut, Dry and Simple, the classes with KD, and especially KD + Dizzy win in pvp
I'm not saying this to be 100% of the time, but its scary how powerful that stupid as **edit** move is in pvp. I think most MMORPG with PvP have some version of stopping the enemy. Who the hells Idea was it to make it so when your stopped, you stay stopped till after your dead, and getting hit for much more damage then normal. If anything people should do 25% damage while someone is KD in pvp

Tip: Check around the skill window for classes that have defenses to dizzy and KD.. adjust your character accordingly if it's really impacting your (pvp) experience. Also, most TKM's don't have master brawler and hence no lunge2 which has a greater range than their kd/dizzy combo...
i am master brawler/master swordman, fencer, tka. i can down a master comando and still get own by Tera kasi master, so cant entirely say we suck. i do like the feel of swordman or at least the idea of being heavy hitter but somwhere along the line we seem to loose that every patch. i been serving as swordman thanks to skill stacking so when that is gone i hope there is something done with swordman because i dont want to be forced away from swordman. that is how i feel, maybe its not swordman that is entirely broken but maybe some profession are too powerful?
never the less the devs do know that AreaAttack3 no longer works as it intended too anymore. it supose to dizzy and knockdown enemies all around you but dizzy no long works with simply posture change due to the timing mechinisim change (or some such) if that moves works properly i'd be over the moon ![]()
