Thread: Executioner's Hack: Updated

My cheif arguement is this - Why shouldrange users have several different types of dmg types per type of weapon, and melees only get one or two types each type of weapon. If you could master all four of thebrawler professions you wouldhave a whopping 4 dmg types to chose from, when if you did the same thing with marksman you would have almost every type of damage type.

I'm sorry... but that doesn't sound balanced to me.

I don't think the principle that1 prof has something therefore we should get it too is relevant, but i think from a practical point of view - to give us a weapon that does LESS damage than weapons we already have - this weapon in its current state is an irrelevance to the game... there is no point to it.


We needCOLD damageon a special weapon because that would give us more range of use in PVE


We need AP3 to make us more viable in PVP.


Rigth now in PVP the profession itself doesnt need changing - simply give us a weapon that does more damage faster at AP3 and we will become a more viable PVP profession.


*could i suggest a BROAD SWORD*

I agree, kind of, with the cold damage thing. Give it AP2, kind of shoddy damage, but make it cold, and I'll be happy.


AP3 would be good...Especially since we *should* be the equivelent of the Rifleman. Maybe if the Hack was changed to AP3, it would be good.

The Scythe was a very nice weapon with very high damage if made right and a good slice.. dont get me wrong the executioners hack looks very nice,but and average hack compared to an average scythe just makes me sad to see.. it is actually the same kind of damage,but lower.



I had my hope up that it would be, if not different but stronger or maybe DoT on it.. but nothing,so why bother to get it besides the looks of it?

a reason to get that weapon other than looks is if you are a species that has low action scores, and high health scores. with my swordsman i can burn my action using a curved sword using four head hit 3's. (trandoshan with 800 action, and 400 stamina, and 400 quickness) or if i use a cleaver it takes about 5 or 6 special attacks to do the same. but if i use a powerhammer, or any of our weapons that have a higher health cost than action cost, i can attack almost every single time without worry of draining one of my HAM pools down to a dangerous level. especially good if you dont own, or want any armor (let alone afford it), and run arround without buffs most of the time. that and the way i play my character, the hammer and the axes are more suited to it than a sword of any kind would be. that and the hack looks kick ass.

*sigh* lets just face it, we got screwed over on this one. Unless we all mass email the devs nothing will change. I believe this will never ever be fixed, we just have to work hard to get the next weapon they give us to bedone right.

AP3 would be sweet. Another damage type would just be too much to hope 4. But if we could get the Hack with aprox. the same stats but AP3, it would be worth somthing. And maybe bump it up the Cert. to a higher box if it looks unbalanced at the box it's at.

PLZ PLZ PLZ GIVE US A SWORD. not a 2 year old's curved sword or the cleaver. give us somthing insainly big. I would pay so much money to a wepon smith to have a sword thes bigger and broader than I am. plus has anyone thought of a new wepon that doesnt come in a insainly hard dungeion ment for hard core power gamers. has anyone on any server gotten a jet pack yet? people have the stuff but its so rare that people hold on to the parts to show them off. WHATS THE POINT OF THAT??? this sword dosnt have to be all fancy or rare or uber. just somthing thats a bit stronger than a sythe and not super rare and expensive. also this is a bit off subject but can we get capes? the coding is there and u can search for em in a bazzar but they dont exist. go to the king at the mauader stronghold. he has a cape. but i have a feeling that if we get capes watch it be a new scematic from a insain them park that uses rare components....

I'm kind of a grammar freak. Hell, some may call me a fanatic. However, grammar isn't my only niche. I like etymology. You know, the study of words and their roots and meanings. So lets break this down. Master. HEAVY. Swordsman. Yes, that's right, heavy is in there. So let's use dictionary.com as a tool here:

  1. Having relatively great weight: a heavy load.

  2. Having relatively high density; having a high specific gravity.

A relatively great weight, says you? A fifty pound block of steel on the end of a stick, says you? Isn't AP3 commonly referred to as HEAVY Armor Piercing? I've seen a lot of people ask for AP3, and I'm with them all the way. I know the combat balance is trying to make everything fair and good for all of the combat professions, but come on now, devs! We get a hack! Woo Hoo! Worse stats than the scythe AND it costs more! YES! THAT is what I am talking about!! Excuse me while I go drown in a pool of my own sarcasm. My point is the same point MANY swordsmen share: We need AP3 or at least a new damage type or something. You'd think at the velocity we can swing those hammers at, they'd be able to do quite an amount of damage. A T21 projectile has AP3. It can pierce through the armor. But if someone had the time and the brains to to some physics homework, they would probably find that the metaphorical speed measurements in the game were at a point where a speed capped Swordsman could SHATTER the chestplate, or helmet, or any given piece of armor belonging to any set or type of armor.Yes, I'd say AP3 was a fair deal.
