Highly Doubtful we'll get something we're asking for, we'll prolly get something they want to give us instead. But i do think the professions weapons got thrown out of whack.
Fencers should use thin swords like rapiers and schmiters( however you spell that), Basically Quick Weapons
Pikeman have it decent, they got lances like they should so its all good there.
Swordsman should have SWORDS, i mean some craazy SOB swords. Maybe a new profession named Axeman should be created if you wanna be a barbarian wielding a huge axe. Its not meant for swordsman.

Who knows, they might balance one of the swords that actually look like one, like a cleaver or a curved sword, id be fine with that. This petition is to show the devs, that the swordsman community are pleading for a sword to use at master level.

If you mean scimitars, those are not light fencing-style weapons by any means. They're heavy hacking swords.
But yeah, I agree... give me a bloody sword. The scythe is nice and cool, but honestly, that weapon does not employ the same fighting style as a true sword does. As has been said, the clumping of completely different classes of weapons just dilutes the class. I mean, hell, why not call me a Master Hammer Wielder? Master Axeman? I seem to be just as proficient with those weapons as, oh, a SWORD. *sigh*

wouldn't a scyhte actually be a polearms weapon? This so called scythe we swordsman have is nothing like what a scythe should look like. A scythe is what the Grim Reaper carries around am i right? So it would actually be a large weapon like and long vibro axe.

Yeah I'll sign this one. I like the curved sword a lot, the clever, curved sword and scythe blade are good examples. The Hammer and Axes are kinda right out IMO. Actually I would love to see an awesome oriental type sword, fencers could use a chinese straight blade and they could give sowrds man something a little japanese looking. The curved sword now seems to have a little middle eastern flair to it. Overall I think I just want swords

Ill sign this and ill sign for a few other people aswell. God knows i love my scythe and my executionary hack but i cant shake the feeling of a sword that can pack a punch.
