there are countless posts on the 2-handed sword/cleaver comparison. with the speed mods you get in swordsman youll be swingin a 2.6 2-handed and a 3.5 cleaver at the same speed. with the accuracy bonuses you get througout swordsman youll hit just as much except against ppl with high melee or ranged defense (hence you use the 2-handed curved against melees). the max damage is lower about 20 or so lower, yet the low damage is about 60 or so higher, so its more balanced and reliable. there both good for different situations, but i personally use the cleaver more.

congrats on the at-st slaugters. havnt seen many for about a week now, and before that i never got into to many fights with them, but yea, defintely possible, as one time i took out 2 and their controllers without much of a prob.

Just wanted to post on here guys, since you probably want to know... we can and I do kill at-st alone, no bleeds, just head hit 3 and warcry. I am posting this so that everyone can be informed and we can work as a profesion to make SWG a more player friendly environment where 1 guy with 3 atst and 2 graul maulers cant stop an entire group from having fun. November 25 I killed 11 atst on the 24 I killed 4. Not a commando Im a swordsman. ( Master swordsman )

Ive killed a couple NPC AT-ST so far. Just remember to equip the PH, I suicided mistakenly having my cleaver equiped on the first attack.

Can you give us the rundown of the exact steps you took to take on the AT-ST.

sword hit 3 (or something) and war cry.

Remember the Power Hammer does blast damage and the AT-ST has a vunerability to blast.

Basically the only thing that can take one down is an uber pet, commando or a swordsman.

grats man, yeah AT-ST's are buggers, don't stick ur grauler against one they get chowed in record time coz at-st's do energy damage . I agree on sticking together with swordsman tactics , btw while we're on it what kinda tactics do u all use for dueling and PvP.

In a duel i equip two-handed sword first coz it's quick, so i can get the down posture on them, then i warcry them, to delay for 10 secs which hopefully gives enuf time to whack a few head hits with the hammer. Is this is stupid or good? and what tactics do u use for PvP and dueling.

Hit3 or AE3 for dizzy, lunge2, headhit3. Sometimes, Lunge2 and mindhit2/1, if I'm ina group.

I never use PH in PvP, too inaccurate. I use 2h Curved on Brawlers, Cleaver on marksmen and support professions.

ok here is my tactics, and Im a better than average pvper. here is my build so you can have an idea.

I am 4304 tka

master brawler

master swordsman

explore 3 so the atst cant escape

2240 medic

I open a fight with an atst with a warcry 2 then use headhit 3 and it is lucky if it ever gets to shoot me before I kill it.

If I am facing it and other players..hmm Ill use this example.

I saw 2 atst and 4 imps overt. I targeted the atst ran up and warcried them. in the following 20 sec I warcried and mind incapped the 4 imps then intimidated the 2 atst then reapplied warcry and killed them both then db'd the players.

for 1 on 1 fights vs tkm/fencer/pikemen I will warcry then do both my bleeds and chase them down and headhit3 to incap. I bleed because of center of being and melee toughness for these lessen the effects of pure damage.

For fights vs ranged users... warcry lunge 2 headhit deathblow

I only use a power hammer nothing else.

Even though I am an imp with 3 AT-ST's, I must congratulate you on a job well done! Killing a player AT-ST is quite an accomlishment especially for a melee class. LOL, that guy must have been pissed calling you an exploiter, cheater, griefer, etc. He will get over it.

They never see it coming do they. "My AT-AT!? You killed it? How!?" Very amusing. I love messing with AT-ST campers.

Cob works wonders on commandos.
