I am a novice swordsman. 0-0-0-2 And the most money I can get for missions is 1500. Where do you guys go to make money? Thanks.

Because of mission scaling in the last patch, the best way to make money now is to group with alot of people/pets while you accept your missions from the terminal. (Then disband after you accept the missions ofcourse.)

At any point in the profession can you get 5500 dollar missions?

No. Never will you see a "5500 dollar mission".

You can, ofcourse, get 5500cr missions. It just depends on where you get the mission from, and how many people/pets you are grouped with at the time.

If you group up with enough high level poeple/pets, you can get a very high mission payout indeed. I don't even think thers a cap on it.

Anyone know if theres a cap? Might be different for different locations though.

At Master, getting a mission when im solo, the highest payout is about 5500. Thats only from the Rebel Outpost on Rori though. Its the only place I take missions from regularly enough to remember.

The magical question for the melee class how do you make money???? I was in the same boat for about 3 months, I would be so happy when I had 30k in the bank, I felt rich. But I soon found out that I wanted to make some cold hard cash ( this sounds like an infomercial). I picked up the CH profession and quickly mastered the management tree so I could get the transfer command.

sry for the double post my kids.... LOL anyway as I was saying...... I found that pet sales is where it is at. I would spend alot of time taming pets and leveling my CH up along the way with swordsman. I have made over 2 million credits selling pets alone and then Ipicked up the medic skills. Did the crafting grind to make high quality stimpacks and now I also have stimpack sales to support my income.

Any melee fighter should get some med skills (you of all people need it) and it can also be quite lucrative when you put down your first factory to manufacture stims. I make 17-25k off of one crate of 10 stimpack b's. You will have to spend money to make money but in the end its worth it.

I solo dathimor missions for 25k each. I am a master doctor also though

25k missions on Dathomir? I thought you could'nt do that since the last patch because of mission scaling.

They made it so the harder planets all have this mission scaling. Although I can't confirm this as I havent taken a mission from anywhere since the patch (I already have over a million credits just from being a swordsman

I am able to get about 10k missions from dantooine post group scaling fix and i can still get 25k missions on dathimor. of course if you have an atst you can get 40k missions on dantooine and probably the other planets as well...

The kamurith defiler missions on dathomir are good, 22k payout and only 6 lizards to a nest. Anyone can get these missions. Instead ofa graul, I use a hanadak rock smasher. Its not as tough,but it's agile, and Ikill the lizards quick enough I don't have to heal ituntil the mission is over.A grand wrix is good enoughtoo,justpullone at a time at first.A goodtechnique is to stand back at around 60m, and let the pet pull themtowards you.That way you don't get aggroed as more spawn in.

I only get decent money if I am in a medium sized group doing hard missions on Dantooine or Dathomir (Lok is also an option but I almost never go there).

This all depends on what you can take, but soloing hurtons on Dantooinefor 3k a pop doesn't seem hard. I am sporting a swordsman 4-4-2-2 but I can take them with my Teras Kasi (0-0-0-2) and polearm skills (almost a pikeman).
