Just posting how much I love this proffession

And why....

Soloing Kimo's Kryats,Eldars......

Standing in a circle of Stormtroopers, swinging a blade and seconds later 10 dead bad guys.

The Thump of a rancor falling on your head.

The endless hunt for the ultimate scythe....

The way other proffessions forming a non-sologroup try to invite you automatically over the heads of others attempting to join....("gotta have a swords to tank for us...")

ThingsI Dont Like....

Wheres the "heavy" tag gone?

Having to carry a 2hcurved when not in combat, in order to look like a swordsman and not a carpenter with attitude.

Well you see i tend to think of us as like the mythical dragon slayer. I know it looksa bit silly a 10 stone human killing a 70ton dragon,but in all the books of olde,thats what knights did.

And ,OK,in Starwars the knights are supposed to carry glowbats...ahh im digging myself a hole here...

A master swordsman can really solo a Krayt Dragon? seems a bit lofty to me

i remember the days when groups of twenty hunting things would run in fear of a krayt. Burst run and noticing your group members getting smaller and smaller...

Yes! I luved those times! Not only was the game fun, it was funny! So many laughs come when someone charges up against an enemy that crushes him in one hit!

Yes he can...Nothin is impossibile with the "right equipment"....80% kinetic armor....+2400 m-doc buff....m-dancer/musican mindbuff....2xbrandy + after 15min a 3 one....1x synthis steak...1x vercupti(+1000 HAM)....1x citrus snowcake(for accuracy)....mediation....a muon/pixie for emergency case....the ability to use stims "d"....being spd.-capped with the used weapons....ready for killing elders, krayts and stuff like that...i personally killed +10 elders solo since they got there specials back...takes time, cost armor+weapons and money for buffs/food/drinks. overall only worth if u make good loots out of them....i got 4 or 5 times creds, some lances, ns-armor sharesand crystal + one good aa with +6 polearm speed...overall i got my money back cause i spent afaik up to 2mil. for killing those...2 suits of armor(1xhigh kinetic+1xstun/high kinetic)4 or 5phs and some creds for buffs/food etc. its good for the "ego" and may u have a lucky punch and loot and uber item....

P.S. By now i stick with all lesser ns like spellweavers, sents, protectors, rangers and stalkers or head the geno-cave....more kills in shorter time = more loots....

Yeah, I utterly love swordsman but might be retiring my role soon.

I can solo Giant Dune Kimos and have looted many RIS component scales (and had the black bars to prove it).

I can solo Giant Canyon Krayt Dragons and have made 10's of millions selling pearls and tissues.

Ive also had a bash at taking Ancient Krayts aswell and even though I dont take much damage, itll still take me 90 mins + to take it due to its resists so I usually get help.

Elders are ok as long as they dont have company with them or stun batons...and I took Axkva Min yesterday and got a crystal which will probably be premium.

Its fun to do all this and I do love feeling overpowered and able to dole out massive amounts of damage but it loses its lustre after a while....we will get changed soon enough, but I have decided to maybe try Ranger with TKM.

Will be mighty hard to hang up my Powerhammer and 2h speed outfit but everyone moves on in time...and we wont be uber for ever.

You keep the tag?

I never keep the master tag after a nasty experiance when I had master brawler up in Mos Eseliy... to everyon I'm just an "Engineer" and the hammer fits to boot

Though seriously I love the proffession, made a swordsman on day 1 (well, started on the path atleast) 4 months ago and it has got to be the most fun proffesion to play... huge buffs and great armour aside.

Ok, I'm assuming that this message was either posted before the recent patch that affected Nightsisters and other NPC MOB's, or the poster hasn't fought NS Elders since that time.

For example: I went to Dathomir with 3 others (1 Master Swordsman, 1 TKM, 1 TKA/Commando)... I am a TKM, Master Rifleman, and 0044 Swordsman. We took down some Nightsister Rangers and Sentinels pretty easily. BUT... when the Nightsister Elder showed up, she hit me for 1500+ Mind damage (ONE hit)!! Take a wild guess what happened on her second hit? DEAD. After my 5 seconds of living while fighting her, she killed the other 3 in my group within 30-45 seconds.

So... how in the hell can ONE person "solo" a Nightsister Elder now?

neato....imagine though...realistically....the thing could just step on your head (even with armor) and crush your skull into a bloody pulp...

I liked the fact that they removed the "heavy" from the Title, Just waiting until they make the Titles Gender specific
