I'm sure it's still possible. Personally, I don't think soloing an elder is really worth it. Too much work for not a whole lot of reward usually.

Do a search on the forums - this was discussed not too long ago, I believe.
I am Swordsman 3443 and Master Doc right now. No speed tapes yet. Another master swordsman (who was speed capped, but not mind buffed) and I went after an elder last night. After a half hour or so, we had her down to maybe 60-65% mind left. The other guy got incapped a few times due to no mind buff. We decided that whatever loot we would get would not be worth the next hour of our time. So we left.
In my opinion, seeing what I did last night, with full buffs including mind, brandy and canape, I should be able to solo an elder as a master doc. But is not easy even with that template - especially since I only have Intimidate 1. And even if I can do it, it will take a looooong time.

You're either exaggerating or you have one heck of a hammer

three things:
- Get speed capped.
- Get 85-90% armor.
- Look at the Elder's weapon. If it's a LVA, Power Hammer, or (obviously) Stun Baton, don't engage. If they have a wood staff or small sword, engage them. I always do a fly-by of the elder to get her in combat and see what she pulls.
I can solo probably 3 per buff session, but I'm not near speed cap yet (84). When I'm capped I can probably do double that per buff session, though I'd rather take one other master swords with me as backup. Those 1200 tick bleeds can leave you in a sorry place...

Those bleed blow...Master docs should get like first aid two that will heal the bleed on one go. I hate hitting first aid like 4 times to get the bleed to stop

1.Be speed capped
2.Get a 600+ damage hammer
3.Use brandy and canape(canape if you have to)
4.Make sure your armor isn't in peices
5.Run away if the weapon the elder is using is a special damage type besides kinetic
Have Fun

yes it can be done, takes some time though. My first elder solo took 45 minutes. After that i started to team up with another swordsman and we kill them in 5 mintes. We split the loot which works out good. Plus if one gets low the other can tank for a bit. just one tip for you, when she gets to like 45k hams left she runs, taunt her a couple times to stop this. and good luck

hmm solo'ing an elder who wields a stun baton..... id like to see it done !
If she has any other weapon then its not too hard.... hell of a lot harder than before but that can only be a good thing

I am a rifleman(speed capped)/doc and i go hunting with a master swordsman(speed capped). He tanks i shoot/heal states. This is a pretty good combo we can liquify an elder in a 2-3 mins. yeah i know this isnt solo but IMO with 2 people you have WAY less risk and since you can clear way more elders you get the same kinda loot. But there are 2 major things people miss when hunting elders.
1. If you dont intimidate just go home. Intimidate is BY FAR the most powerful state effect in the game it is SOOO under rated my most players its sick. Intimidate lowers damage to about half and also lower the defences of the target. ALSO!!!! Intimidate stacks!!!!! yes thats right it stacks if you land it once it lasts 15s if you land it twice in a row it now lasts 30s!! so have someone intimidate it like 20 times and you wont have to worry about having to stop, intimidate, attack, stop, intimidate, attack, stop,....
2. If you see a spawn with 2 protectors and 2 spell weavers and one elder DONT kill everything if you do that then you will get 3 full respawns of the group (3 elders). If you instead pull the elder (which is sometimes hard to do) you can kill Just the elder and you will get NINE!! elders out of the spawn.

Yeah i never hunt Elders solo anymore - it's just not worth it. I usually take a Rifleman/TKM mate with me and we split the loot 50/50, it's a good arrangement.
Quick Tip: If you want to pull an Elder out of a group, get a Rifleman to conceal and bleed it, when the bleed ticks the Elder will aggro and leave it's group behind!

You can do it if u have bleed heals, and capped speed, (dont need to be capped but it will take a hell of alot longer without, and might even be the reason u die), bleed heals is also not needed.. ive solo'd them before i got bleed heals (it only helps a little if u ask me), u also need a good template
