Thread: We need duel wield.
There was a 24357944857 page thread about this a couple months back, aswell as countless others. I'll see if I can find some links.
In my opinion a Swordsman is a master of heavy weapons that require two hands to wield. So dual wielding isnt really our department. If it goes to anyone it should be Fencer.
Would be kinda cool if dual wield could be an Elite-Hybrid Brawler profession or something similar though.

2 swords is a bad idea, swords are really big and heavy, your accuracy would be really horible, i mean worse then -70 or something, plus i think defence should be lowered while weilding2 weaponsand counterattck would all but be unavailable to you,
not even conan the barbarian had 2 swords at once, and he is in definition THE heavy swordsman
but 2 lightsabers yes
2 pistols yes
or 2 knives or(short swords) yes
would be practicle
pistoleers definatly, maybe fencers with 2 small swords but not us. 2 hands on the sword/hammer......thats how it should be.
I think this is the only game where people haven't understood the meaning of a two-handed sword..
You see, in every other game in existence, it means a big sword which need two hands to wield. It does so in this game too.
Now if you ask me, this should be laid dead once and for all, dualwielding is for lightweapon fighters such as fencer and pistoleer.

quoted for effect
Yes, i think Nox said it the best.
Usually, to 'normal' people, 'two-handed' means that u need 2 hands to wield the weapon.
How people come to the conclusion that 2-handed means bearer of 2 weapons one in each hand i dont know.
"not even conan the barbarian had 2 swords at once, and he is in definition THE heavy swordsman"
actually in one of the movies (i think it was the second one) he had a axe, and his customary sword both, he didnt use both for long, but he did use two weapons.
but the way i see dual weilding weapons, is that it should have to be a different class completely maybe an elite elite class, or a hybrid of one handed and two handed in brawler (possibly even master brawler required) but that is IF they ever decide to put in dual weilding.
dual weilding is a balance between offense, and defense, you use one weapon to block, and the other to attack, and a person would have to be very balanced, and skilled with using both hands. fencing is more of a technique using one hand for your weapon, and the other for balance. and only the most skilled fencers would use both a rapier and a dirk (a short dagger like weapon) and the people that used a full size weapon in each hand were nearly unheard of.
MasterTrexia: Please show me the game where a "two-handed sword" is a sword you can wield with one arm.
And again, I lay emphasis on "HEAVY" Swordsman...
