I love melee, and want to beable to take on all i can, i have healing covered by a friend who i nearly always hunt with so medic aint needed...

The dizzy and KD/PD defenses will server you well.
And it seems like a very good melee tanking template. area dizzy and area PD will be fun too

they do stack, just capped at 125 for melee/ranged, and the evasion types, dodge / counterattack / block. i dont think the defence to stuff is capped, but its not exactly easy to get more than 100 defence to something let alone 125 or more...
This template technically should be fine, sure i'd lose 1 melee defence 
but oh well

This is very similar to a build I've been considering for PvP.. I'm currently master swords, master brawler, 4004 TK, 2440 fencer, novice medic, and exploration 1.
I've been considering dropping the scout, and gtting 0040 pistoleer for the defenses and ranged mitigation, and losing the fencer skills.
I find meditation, power boost and force of will too handy to give up easily, and combat xp line of TK adds good ranged/melee def to make up for the fencer.
I think +125 def vs KD is overkill, +90 will serve you just as well, altho the def vs intimidate is nice from the fencer trees.
In all, yeah, its a great template - what you do with the fencer side is up to you, I know my choice would be the TK skills instead, but it comes down to your playstyle I just like the fall-back position Force of Will gives me.. being incapped by all the protectors around Axvah and the Force of Willing to get up again is too handy when you're in the stronghold alone! Plus the extra 500 HAM from powerboost is useful on elders or in large crowds.

master doc/master swordsman
when your a master doc you dont need all the defences. buff your self cure poison, disease, dizzy, intimadate. (yes you can cure dizzy wile kd)
i soloed the ackley wile evey thing in the room was beating the crap out of me.

HOLY CRAP!!! I didn't know that you could cure dizzy while knocked down, I would have won so many more PvP fights if I knew that!!! Now time to make some Dizzy packs for myself.

ya cure stats make doc really helpfully for tanking. my best de_tank mode was TKM fencer - 4000 doc 3440 and this is good in pvp too. swordsman is the person that dmg to tank whatever.
