I was a Doctor/Pistol/Smuggler, and started an alt for extra lots and decided to play with rifle/swordsman for hunting purposes. Coming from pistols, where a stopping shot does up to 1000+ from a pre-nerf sliced FWG5 with a 32% powerup, being able to hit for more than that at 0030 Swordsman was a revelation. Now, I hope my swordsman gets aggro'd so I can use Spin2, and being able to rip nearly anything on Corellia as a Novice Swordsman (with good armor) has been a lot of fun. Really, you outgrow starting planets much faster as a Swordsman and practically HAVE to go to Dantooine or worse places to get any decent XP. Barely past Novice on Dantooine I was outdamaging a Master Rifleman with a T21 and a mid-level Pikeman using just a 2h Sword, much less the PH.
The bleed nerf really stinks, I was looking forward to stacking rifle and 2h mind bleeds, but such is life.
It's good to be the tank, and that's what the 2H Swordsman is. Keep your silly state changes, my trade is damage, friend, and business is good.
Swordsman is definately alot of fun, especially when you get to master. Just bashing peoples heads in is fun in it self, but PvE is quite entertaining as well.
TKA is IMO the second most boring class to Commando. You primarily do 2 specials, in both PvP and PvE, which gets boring almost as soon as you hit master. And I dont know why, but I always felt guilty using Unarmed KD 2 in PvP, its just such and annoying attack ![]()

I disagree, Master Brawler isnt a must but it definately helps alot. I have no spare SP's to go master Brawler seeing how I mastered Armorsmith along with Swordsman, got 2,0,0,0 medic, Artisan 4,4,0,3, and Tailor 0,2,0,0 for armor componants, and im doing just fine w/o master brawler.
