Thread: Soloing The Acklay

I soloed the Acklay last night. Ended up looting an RIS schematic. Have it on auction with the current bid being 2 million.
Just wanted to know how many other Swordsmen have soloed the Acklay and your tactics?
I was fully buffed, with a dancer buff on my mind bar, wearing 80% kinectic resist armor. I'm a 3/0/0/3 TKA with Novice Medic (soon to be 4/0/0/4 TKA but keeping Novice Medic), so I was able to warcry and peace while fighting it,then powerboost and heal. I have a macro that intimidates three times, mind hits 2 twice, then head hit 3 seven or eight times. Keeping it intimidated is a must. I got aggroed by some Klikniks while fighting the Acklay, but I was able to finish them off while still keeping the Acklay intimidated. When I was close to finishing the Acklay off, I didn't even worry about the Klikniks at that point since they wasn't doing enough damage to me to make a dent.

I use the extremely complicated tactic of getting full buffs including focus and willpower, powerboosting, chugging down some brandy and eating a canape, then walking up to the acklay and hitting him in the head with my scythe until he dies. I intimidate him, too. I can take him on with a full spawn in his room usually without even needing to use a single stim B. I'm a master swordsman, master fencer, master brawler, novice medic, and 4/3/0/0 TKA.

i actually did it last night as well ...here was my system
basically pulled everything in the room on me (intentional) and area3 attackeduntil it was just myself and ackly left over, after that i tagged ackly with a mind poison and intimidate, mind bleed and just hit for (duh) mind for about a halfan hour.
armor: 80% kinetic
buffs: 2.2K all stats. powerboosted once
food: 44% synthsteak and brandy. stacked,started with3 stacked . never had to go to muon onc
weapons: 600 damage sliced ph, 1 mind poison vibro lance.. for the hell of it i health diseased it too justas an insult
it was easy...i only had to heal myself 3-4 times.
ive done it in the past with just a master doctor (Apoy) who kept me healed and state free the whole time..for some reason that time it took longer with him along.

I had him down to about 50% last night when I thought, "Have I /ex him yet"?
So I examined him and notice that his kenetic resist was much lower than his blast resist, so I put my PowerHammer away and switched to the Schythe. This is opposite of most things in the cave. Most creatures have 5% blast resist but have a higher kinetic resist.
This was my first time soloing it, but I'll know in the future what works best, so hopefully I can finish it off faster.

I've fought the Acklay 3 times and had it stolen from me all 3 times. It's one of the easiest things we can solo.
I fought my first Nightsister Elder today. Had her down to 20K Mind when she started hitting me with a kd/dizzy attack over and over again. After about the 4th kd/dizzy (had her down to 13K Mind by this time), I was on my back and she slapped me for 3200. Yeah, it was all over after that.

acklay really is easy. i dont even intimidate him anymore or kill the surrounding things and never died once. just walk in, take scythe, pop him in the head a few times, change to hammer finish everyone else off and your done

he will do 33% of normal dmg with intim, so if the npc would 100 dmg, withintim he will do 33 points

also is intimidate 2 much better than 1?

Yeah intimidate 2 is crazy, thats what people do so they can tank krayts all day long. Makes them do the damage of a capper spineflap.

were the hell do you find the Ackaly ..plz help..i want to solo it
