I'm back!
Sorry for the delay, I know other correspondent's have had more timely responses. I had to take some time off from moving to hit the summit and when I got back my DSL was shut off. Gah!
But anyway, I'm back. The first thing I'd like to say about the summit is that no, it wasn't a huge brainwashing session. The fact that all the Correspondent's are gushing and glowing about the experience is a purely authentic response.
We had a great time, we learned a lot, and we had more than enough time ask pretty much every burning question we had.
As I think I posted in a short post I sneaked in while there, I'm more excited about the CB than I have ever been before. What I've seen makes a lot of sense, it has had a lot of good thought go into it (and the Correspondent's were able to add a lot more of that), and I've already seen hints of some things that I thinkmay make many Swordsmen veryhappy.
And of course, sadly, I can't talk about it much yet. The hope is that more info will be going public soon, like the stuff that has been released on the HAM balance.
Personally I had a blast. It was great meeting the other correspondent's as well as the devs. Among both devs and players I met several really cool people that were a ton of fun to hang out with. By now you've seen pics of some of us drinking.
While much of the weekend for me was getting down to brass tacks on some pretty hardcore gameplay discussions we definitely had fun as well.
So I'm excited about the CB and I can't wait for the Sandbox. As soon as I get a chance I will be posting more on the latter. Now, more than ever, I want to get as solid of a team as possible and for those who can I may schedule some interviews just to make sure that I get the absolutely best set of people. More on that to come. I'm also excited about having more to share with you guys. Honestly, I have been discussing the nitty-gritty details of SWG combat for pretty much a full year now. Often I feel that I've run out of things to say!
Once more details out I am looking forward to some very interesting discussions about the new system and what it will mean for us Swordsmen.
Anyway, there's my glowing report of the summit. I can't wait for more to come.
StGabe.

No comment on the JEST3R thing except to say that sometimes a little healthy disagreement is good for the system. *grin*

Hmm. How to answer that one?
In general I expect a lot of movement weapons-wise and I see good things happening for the Hack but that will be a detail that we'll have to keep pounding on come Sandbox time.
