Just so I am clear on what was written, the 2H MIND hit, doesn't always initially damage the mind? So the 2H mind hit can affect Health,Action OR Mind? Huh? So it is now the 2H Random Initial Hit Followed By Mind Bleed Hit?


This little tidbit is not posted ANYWHERE in the publish notes. Is it a new design flaw? If so, StGabriel, please get them to change this. We were alreadyclose to uselessin PVP compared to other classes, why gimp US?!?!?!!?!?!?


Was this the way it was in TestCenter? This is totally news to me....I guess I will have to see how it plays out, but it doesn't sound good.....can't wait to see myself get wasted anywhere I go with my most effective skills gimped....while TKAs continue to rule the world....

This was always the case - the initial hit on a bleed didn't always hit the targetted pool (although it was more frequently mind than anything else) but always caused a bleed on the proper pool.


I saw this all the time on rifles pre-patch (I got more time to watch the effects of my hits from 60+ m). Nothing's fundamentally changed with how bleeds work - the damage per tick has been reduced to prevent people bleed kiting things todeath (which you had to know was going to be fixed someday).

I'm hanging around the forums for the moment, gunna check out world of warcraft and wish it was being released next week...


I don't see the point of logging on...

Bleeds were a huge part of my ability to kill something... I am really going to hate what I see when I log in, and I know how full of hate the servers are going to be today as everyone logs on, and realises how much we just got screwed.

With the bleed nerf it will be tougher to kill heavily armored mobs like a krayt or a nightsister elder...above alla Mokk Rockshaper with 100% blast and 100% kinetic resist...with lame bleeds...things will be tougher for the already the non dominating melee class...TKA dont have bleed capability, perhaps that should be their weakness! Now...bleeds are worthless and gives a TKA more time to kill us...This bleed cut is by far...a poor thing a dev could add to this game...it should be removed instantly...

Well not only did they nerf bleed stacking but they also nerfed bleed damage, pvp with my powerhammer at 590 dmg i was hitting for 150-200 on another MHS and the bleed would be for 25-38, its absolutely pathetic. Anyone with firstaid 2 can heal this in one click, and whats even more upsetting is that our mind hits dont target the mind, they do damage to a random pool then bleed the mind, Why the F is it called mind hit then? Pretty disappointed with these changes and as more of you get home and log on i'm sure you will be too.

Bleeds are worthless now. Last night I was killing gurks for rifle experience, but I would put a bleed on with my hammer to speed things up a bit. Last night the bleeds I applied were doing between 1200 and 3500 a tick with an average somewhere in the 2000 range. Today, using the same technique I've gotten a low of 330 and a high of 900. Yes, they upped the initial damage done by quite a bit, but it still is a random pool and less than head hit 3. If you are using a bleed it is probably against something you plan on targeting the mind against, so that initial bump in damage is essentially useless since the random pool will rarely be the mind. Before this, I figured it would take about 2 ticks to make the bleed worth the attack to put it on, after the patch I figure around 6 ticks to make it worth it. I don't know about anyone else, but there are very few things I can't kill before 6 ticks go by. Additionally, I believe that the bleeds still stack, but using the lower level bleed would just mean that even more ticks need to go by since it does less bleeding damage. Apparently the devs don't think we should be using bleeds.

Pretty much they have taken away our only advantage in pvp
