Thread: Took my first Elder last night

Well, in the past I've always run from NS cause they usually meant certain death or at least were very painful if you ran into the wrong kind. I was bored last night so I decided to check out the NS stronghold. Skills are MSwords, TKM, MBrawler, FS melee speed 3, and Medic 2/2/4/0 with Stim D's at about 930 a heal. My armor was basic 80% kinetic that is a 4 piece effecitveness slice so 80%+ base stats too and a 30% energy 45% base stats PSG in case I ran into something with a stun baton. Weapon was just a base level PH as far as speed that is damage sliced to 634 damage. Found everything in the stronghold to be pretty easy though the Protector's gave me a taste of what was to come. Was about to leave when I saw it, NS Elder popped up on Radar. Figuring what the heck it's only decay I went after her and eventually won. If it wasn't for medic 2/x/x/x I'm sure I'd have been bled to death pretty quick though. Only scary moment was when she dizzied me enough to knock me on my back once and I couldn't get up. Intimidate2 fell off and I lost about 3/5th's my health before I got back up. Only got ahealth poison lance for my troubles though.

Good job though, i like to see young bucks come up, especially on bria
we share the same template

Yeah I'm working on that speed cap thing lol. I think this will be an experience I remember not just because of the CU. For one, I'd asked a guildie that does elders all the time if she thought I could take them but she was thinking I'd have a problem with it. She was MSwords stacked out with Fencer, medic, etc. and was thinking since I didn't have the Fencer defenses it would cause a problem. Once I got the elder down to about 50K of HAM though she tried to run off lol, had to start taunting her.

elders really arnt that hard to solo, im retemplating so im currently master brawler/master swordsman 2/2/4/0 medic, and as long as youve got intimidate, armor, swordsman, and 2/0/4/0 medic, they are easy. if your guildmate was saying you couldnt handle it because you didnt have the melee defense from fencer, thats just not true. The elders are so high level they are gonna hit u every time anyway, so melee defense doesnt matter, all you need is migitation and state defense, and somtimes the state defensedoesnt really help anyway vs those.

I took out my first elder the other day too. Got a prem crystal, which you'd think would be easy to sell, but it's not

lol, I usually get qualities and goods from the mobs at the stronghold. Those are easier to sell, oddly enough.
