What do you like about this profession compared to the other brawler style professions?

It's better for PVE than fencer. Fencer (Blademaster) rarely gets hit, but doesn't do a lot of damage. I love being able to take out a picket with my power hammer and never usea special

Wielding the awesomeness that is the power hammer is my favorite. Dealing out -5000 mind hits on NPCs is pretty darn fun, especially after being a pistoleer (having to shoot everything for 10 minutes to kill it).

I like seeing my wookie beat things over the head with a massive hammer and a great sword. I don't get to do it all that much anymore, but it's nice to have it to protect my harvestors from bandits.

Has good area attacks which fencer and tk are lacking. Haven't tried pikeman though. Also like the blast damage for nightsisters.

It's a heavy hitter (Medium Armor Piercing on everything above the Heavy Axe I believe) and it has strong AE attacks. I think Spin2 should be replaced with something else, and Sweep should be totally revamped. Brawler has a lower posture attack, so I never use Sweep1, Sweep2 should do something unique, maybe add a dizzy/stun/blind effect (not all three, but one or the other). We have one of the best correspondents, so I see Swordsman going somewhere in the near future. Spin1 with my Scythe hits harder than Spin2 does on my TKM.

Coming from Fencer Swordsman is absolutely Godlike. Fencer's defenses are nice, but with how the content is anymore (see Geonosian Biolab Bunker, Corellian Corvette, and Deathwatch Bunker, and just your random high-level MOBs that drop good loot) your defenses mean very little. The only thing that's going to save you are buffs, armor, food, and putting out massive damage. Fencer cannot do this. Anything over AR0 and you're suffering badly as a Fencer. You never counterattack, dodge, or block an attack by Nightsister Elder, Axkva Min, Super Battle Droids, Acklay, Krayts, Kimogilas, Jedi Knights, Jedi Masters, Dark Jedi Masters, and the list goes on.

I'm 0/4/0/4. I love it so far. I love targetting one bar of the HAM.

I love, when combined with Master Brawler, being able to doaLunge2 + Hit3 comboand seeing a +8300 floaty drifting over the dead body of a Tusken Raider.Last night I did a Lunge2 + Headhit3 and watched a blue +7700 floaty drifting over the dead body of a factional NPC. And I love the fact that, after watching me work with the PowerHammer for a while at the Tusken fort, a guy I did not know commented on how well I was doing, and when I said, "Well, it is mainly because I am buffed," he replied, "Buffed or not, you are kicking Tusken @##!" I still smile every time I think of that.

I, also, love being able to go out hoping to be surrounded by 5 enraged rancors, knowing that I have done that and healed myself for a total of 46 health damage after the dust settled. And I love the one time I had 7 of them on me, then after I killed 5, I had to chase the last two down when they ran from the butt-whoopin' Area3 was unleasing on them.

I really enjoy my entire build, which includes Master Rifleman, but I have to admit that I really look forward to pullin' out theole Hammer of Deathand "nailing" something.

There's a reason it's called "Domination" in the combat spam. I'm a pretty big fan of killing a lair's worth of Enraged Rancor at once, too…although for me the big draw on Dath is when I get 3-6 Singing Mountain Clan on me and get to show them that Scythe + Area3 = Lawnmower.

I, personally, try to keep it so that only one group of two opposing factions is mad at me at one time, so I tend to leave the Singing Mountain Clan alone.

But I had to go down into the NS Forced Labor Camp cave the other night for one of the Covette quests and hada group of NS Initiates aggroed on me all at once. Now, I know they were only Initiates, but when it was all quiet again, I counted 10 bodies on the ground.

For a while I was +5000 Nightsister faction…one trip through the cave to try for Axkva's head fixed that. So now I'm +5000 SMC, -5000 NS, -5000 Spider…oh well.

I love the pile of dead MOBs at my feet be it Tuskens, Geonosians, Picketts, or whatever. There's nothing cooler than standing with your hammer surrounded corpses.
