Hello all,
I am new to the Swordsman profession. I was wondering if someone can explain to me, if you have tow-handed melee speed of +75 what does that mean?
I read that there is a speed cap of 1.0 on all attacks. But if I have a sword of 3.2 speed, what does that mean with me have +75.
thank you all in advance.

so, if I understand correctly....
3.2 speed with 75% improvement on my speed... meaning reduce it by 75% precent to the cap of 1.0 second.
is this correct?

Not entirely.
actual speed = (weapon speed x delay modifier of attack) x (100 - P) / 100
actual speed can never drop below 1.0
Where P is your personal speed modifier. 75 at Master Swords.
I'm unsure of the delay mods for Swordsman, but surely they are somewhere along with damage multipliers?

umm actually it is possible to get the speed to drop below 1s but it is capped at one second.
and the only profession that does not have a cap is Jedi or so i hear.
and with your sword at 3.2 will be
3.2x1(being the normal attack)x(100-75)/100=.8s which is at the cap
however the highest delay mod we have is i believe 2.5 so
3.2x2.5x(100-75)/100=2.0s so not at the cap.

i also do not believe that is the speed fourmla looks diffrent from the one i remeber.cuz i never remeber swinging my hammer at 3.375s cuz 5.4x2.5(100-25)/100= 3.375

How do you know the delay for the attack...I imagine every attack has its own delay for this formula am I correct?
Thanks again

ya ever attac has it's own delay. i believe area attack 3 and head hit 3 are our slowest attacks they have the 2.5 multiplier. and i believe 2-hand hit 3 is 2.3 delay. not to sure though

You inserted 25 where it should be 75, as that is the Master Swordsman mod.
