I just got a Scythe Blade for 100k on a vendor on Chilastra.
It has:
172-302 dmg
3.5 speed
24.2 wound
Is this average? Haven't seen to many around to compare to.

The best I've seen had 2.6 speed and 435 damage, but they were going for over 2 million. So for only 100k I would say thats darn good.

great blade for only 100k!! what vendor/server? I've seen them at 203-335 dam2.6 spd +8 range mods for 900k+ (Bloodfin)

for 100k any scythe will be worth it, they are great weapons, however for comparison, i have had two exceptional ones, one 2.4 264-419, my personal one, and another 2.6 259-462, which i sold for 3.2

I would agree, good stats. Mine was 254-300 2.7 unsliced and I had to trade 2 scythe schematics for it. Thats approx. 1 mil on bloodfin.

That's a great buy for 100K, but I swear the more I read about the prices of scythes the luckier I feel. Mine is 198-305 with 1.9 speed, and it was free. Don't any of you have weaponsmiths in your guilds willing to make one for you? Just curious...

I actually have some of teh better WS on the server in my guild. For me the main probelm is actually getting the schematic. I dont have warcry and Im just not willing to risk a one shot deal on my twitchy clicking.

Heh, I got lucky, I used one of the new Battle droids to get mine 
Had my amazing level 10 astromech droid out and he thankfully got the aggro before I did, little sucker bravely whiped out his buzz saw and promptly got eaten Thankfully he bought me enough time to grab the schem and run screaming likea little girl.

Oh, man, don't be afraid. Do the first part of the quest yourself...it's easy. Then when you get the treasure map find a few friends who are willing to occupy the Dragon's attention while you steal the schematic. That's what I did. I have a lot of lag, so I didn't trust myself to do it alone. But with my friends it was a piece of cake, so to speak. Besides, what's the worst thing that could happen? You die? Big deal! You won't though if you have a group. Go for it!1

Since picking up my Scythe Schematic, I've been spending a lot of time in the Geonosian Lab. After two days of hunting there I went ahead and slapped together my first Scythe with the lowest-end components possible and crafted cores.
3 identical 10 min/max damage Yellow Cubes
3 identical 10 max damage Geonosian Paste
Scythe came out 332 max damage, 2.6 speed.

Mine's 2.1spd (what it was made at )396max (damage slice) Made with white cubes. My other is 2.7spd 388max (damage slice again) with low ham cost b/c of red cubes. I'm planning to have six more made, and I'm accumulating solidifying agents and yellow/green cubes. I can't wait
