I have mastered TKA, Brawler, Scout Marksman, Rifleman, Commando, and now Swordman

Got to say Swordsman went by the fastest - don't know if it was just funner to play or if area attacks made the difference.

Nothing like watching your toon swing and see....

I personally thought rifleman was the fastest. Savage quenkers are vulnerable to stun damage, lol. Swordsman is probably fun now.

Yup I have to agree that swordsman is insanely fast, by far the fastest profession I've ever xped..

Started on thursday evening after work, did a bit more on friday evening after work, thenMastered iton saturday by around noon..

(This is counting from when I started at novice swordsman, so skipping all the brawler tree time which I had done ages ago)

someone asked what I was hunting....

On endor - with armor and buffs - anything that moved.

But I LOVED the following wild spawns (spelling is probably wrong but close):

Bole Lairs = about 4.9 k per Bole and about 15 creatures per lair

Archane Webmaster lairs = about3.9k to 5kper spider and about 25 creatures per lair (not including the queen and hatchlings that spawn when the lair blows up)

Crazed Gurrek lairs = about5 k per Gurrek and about 12 creatures per lair

Robalairs = about5 k per Robaand about 15 creatures per lair

Also killed Maruaders, Merk Battlelords, Kroga, Ewoks- and anything else that moved

I've seen Fencer mastered in 2 days. from the Novice box to Master. It just about made me sick. Ittook me 2 months, but anyway.....

Friday nightwhen I went to bed, my new character was 0211 in swordsman. I got up at 7:30am on Saturday and started grinding on Endor and by 2 pm,I was a Master Heavy Swordsman. Definitely fast!

It would be a mistake to look how fast Swordsman can be grind and make the assumption that a nerf was in order. Every profession able to leverage area attacks are equally capable of advancing just as fast given the right conditions.

Ex: Pick up Rifleman, grind up to 0/0/3/0. Enlist a friend to tank lairs with pets, or themselves while you unload the newly unlocked area attack.

Even a Fencer can take advantage of area damage to grind xp. Grab a nicely assembled weapon and join an AEgroup in the Geonosian Cave. Wetrained a member of my PA to Master Fencer in two trips with this.

It actually took me a month to master heavy swordsman. I did not know how to fight melee and it was my first combat profession. Pikeman took 9 days. Carbineer 9 days. Rifleman 3 days.....

I did swordsman in about 4 buffs, fencer in 3 buffs, TKM in about 3-4 buffs, and pikeman in 4 buffs (thats 12 hours a piece if you get the 3 hour buff variety). You just have to know where to level and you are set. I would fight quenker missions on Dant until I maxed the speed line (1-1.5 buffs) then I would move to endor and just demolish everything that moved.

Qoute

recalculate the XP requirements.
end

So are they to do that to all combat professions, considering that all the elite combat trees are set along the same xp amounts. (175K, 250K, 350K, 450K)

Not trolling, but this is why I think that Swordsmen are overpowered. It's not that you can kill things, it's that you call swordsman the easist of the brawling professions to advance in. The solutions are to nerf (not fun), or to recalculate the XP requirements.

That, and the fencer in me is way jelous.

I would call that trolling.

Another stupid nerf post.
