I asked this Weaponsmith how much for a Scythe and he says at least 1 mil. WTH?!!!!


How much are people on you guy's server charging for Scythes?


Aren't Scythes Master Swords requirement?

Pre-CU a custom made scythe cost a lot cuz the looted components cost a lot (1-3mil) for good parts to make 2 of them. Now that the CU is live you can’t solo the geo caves to get more components so now they are going to cost even more. Best thing to do is look for a pre-made one that got a crapy slice (those go for about 200-500k pre-CU, not sure what they are worth now)

Unfortunately it isn't just the subcomponents. It is that each person on a server can only get 1, possibly 2 schem's from Tat. And then each schem only makes 2 scythe's. So, due to limited availability and a high demand you get a price. Hope this helps. And the only way you can get the 2nd schem is to reset yourself on Tat, some guy to talk to, but you can only do it once.

only 1 (2) schems per avatar


with the right amount of cubes agents you could pull 4 off the schem, most often only 2


most schems went for 1 mill creds as a base value, often more in auvctions


good scythes use cubes and agents over base stats


Pre-cu i usually got my own cubes/agents and passed some savings to the customer


Post-CU soloing geo i don't think is possible, cost of cubes/agents will increase. even with groupage time investment alone will make these still (more ?) pricey


limited use schematic on the geo-cores


1 million for a scythe is is very reasonable. I specialized in these and virtually all of them had a unique name. Finding an old speed-sliced one may be the way to go. I won't seel even my sweet ones (high damage cubes/agents) for more than a mill, but that means mostly a 500K loss or so now

You need Swords 0004 to use a scythe. As far as price just do what I did, buy a crappy one for 400k then go buy a good one the next day for 20000. Unfortunatley if you are going to grind swords you are going to need one because I couldn't find any other wepon with decent dps to use until I got MS and a hammer.

I paid 1.5 million credits. Ialsoprovided the schemand a crapload of resourcesfor a speed and dmg sliced Scythe Pre-CU. IMO, they were better than my Power Hammer (Pre-CU max 626) because of their speed and looks. Now, the Power Hammer is truly the best Swords weapon of the Pre-CU weapons I had before, so my 1.5 million was spent for no reason. Haven't seen the newPost-CU weapon(s) yet. Maybe I can dump another couple million there too. Oops, don't have a couple million because of this purchase...

I haven't seen any post CU stats (in game) of the Scythe. The Weapon Cert post stickied on the WS boards gives it a base DPS of 166 (which is just 5 more than the craftable Ryyk Blade--which is a 1h weapon and you only need to be a level 50 to use it). I don't see paying hundreds of thousands of credits for that.
Though I do understand why it's being sold for that much (due to rarity).

i have a scythe 859 max damage without a pup, of course its adk'd and scythes sell for 1mill or more on my server pre-cu post-cu prolly 1mill indeed

o and my dps is 400+ ty and this is better than hammers in my opinion it was uber before cu but its better now i think

I ended up getting a Scythe for free. I got it speed sliced and it does more DPS than my Power Hammer.

Considering they don't do much more than a PH now and only require a level of 50 the Scythe is only there for its looks shame really cos pre CU I loved my Scythe.
