Thread: hammer stats.... just trying 2 get an idea on how high hammer stats can go
Hammers, or weapons in general, that had been speed sliced prior to the CU
got a much better conversion that the damage sliced weapons. Because there
is no longer a speed cap, your converted damage sliced hammer, is just a slow
heavy hitting weapon, and as a result the DPS is lower than it is for a faster hammer.
Before the CU, if you were speed capped, you got to enjoy all the damage your hammer could deliver
in one second intervals. Now it is in 2+ second intervals.
Also, if you were fortuate enough to have left a "powerup" on your weapon prior to the
CU, then the total stats, including the powerup, were figured into the final transition.
I dont know the formula that was used, this is merely my observations based on examination
of roughly 500 weapons, post CU.
Finally, as a respec Master Smuggler, I would suggest that any weapons you own that are not
sliced, remain unsliced for the time being. Final stats on freshly sliced weapons are not accurately
being calculated based on the results of the slice. ie...a 28% speed slice is actually a 6% speed slice.
Hardly worth the effort.
Didnt intend to hi-jack the original post, and I appologize for that.

SOE owes me 16 mil then, my pre-CU 1064 max acklay hammer converted to like 284 base DPS...
Man, that's really unfair. My pre-CU 731 converted to 289 base DPS. I'm wondering what formula they used to figure this stuff out and if it involved crayons....

my advice is destroy your old hammer and buy a crafted new one. Acklay bones actually reduce the DPS now
mine was 430-922 before the CU but meh, everyone power hammer turned to trash.
