If your Melee/Ranged D doesn't make them straight miss, then you evade the attack and hit back with an unblockable attack.

Was thinking about a Master Swords/ Carbineer 0/0/4/0 for a total of 190 Counterattack, but since it caps at 125... that sucks.

you should do the carbineer line that has Ranged Mitigation, that way you split Ranged damage a bit. Pardon me if 0-0-4-0 is the Mitigation line, i Dont know Carbineer very well

it is but pistoleer 0-0-4-0 is better hands down than cabrineer 0-0-4-0.
ive been the carb/swords template btw.

you dont hit back. thats what it says in the description but thats not what it actually does.
it basically negates all damage if you counterattack, but if its a state attack the state can still go through.

So better defense? In that case what is master swordsman at then? 100?

no, we get 110 at master swordsman. its possible to cap it at 125 with either carbineer skills or skill tapes.

I didn't think of that, but yeah the Pistoleer defenses are better than the Carbineer, line, and if im right i believe that is the Ranged Mitigation line.
