On average, which is better in dmg and speed? The Vibro axe of the 2-H sword. I own a Vibro axe and a believe a 2-H sword (it looks like a straight katana). But the speed is almost the same, and the Sword does less dmg overall.

What are your thoughts?

Never seen vibroaxes on Radian either...

As far as 2h curved swords... With current HAM pricesi use 2H Axe rather than sword - 145 action on use of 2H_Hit_2 with sword vs 65 with axe. When using using sword i would often find myself near death of action loss, and i have no such problem with axe.

P.S. my axe is 78-147 damage so i guess i got myself a nice one.

My 2hand sword does 61-236dmg 1.9 speed and is the best sword ive seen so far.

You haven't seen Vibro Axes on Radiant because weaponsmiths haven't seen Ditanium steel on Radiant.

As for the lower weapons, it depends on whether you tend to use a lot of specials or not. If you do, the 2H axe is lighter on your pools, but if you don't, you're going to get considerably more damage out of the 2H curved sword.

For comparison, my current 2H curved sword is 47-202/3.2, and my current 2H axe is 80-129/5.0 with HAM of 49/18/11. (Sorry, don't have HAM info for the curved sword right now.)

Got a vibro axe, stats are:

88-198 dam, 4.9 delay, 76/46/18 ham, 12.31 wound chance.

Visually, iIt looks pretty similar toa tomahawk. It got a white-metallic blade which looks pretty industrial, and the shaft is completelywrapped inbrown leather, howevernot very close so you still can see the metallic nature of the shaft.

Ah yes for comparison my current 2h curved sword got the following stats:

59-235 damage, 2.7 speed, 35/69/41 ham, 37.49 wound chance.

Both weapons are unsliced atm.

Vibro axes generally hit slower than the 2hd swords and swords generally squeeze in a better DPS ratio..........I haven't seen a vibro axe with less than a 3.9 speed...........mine does 89-269 damage and ity has a 5.1 speed (sliced) it generally does more damage per hit than my 2 hd sword, but my sword has a better DPS ratio........

What exactly does slicing do for your weapon?

Check your numbers floating over the enemy's heads. I bet the Vibroaxe is AR1 compared to the Curved Sword's AR0. That means it's actually doing 25% more damage vs things with AR0 than it's listed stats, and not being reduced by as much against stuff with higher AR.

The 2h sword is teh better weapon. in general my ax would do about 500-700 damage with a special move, 230-300 regular. My 2h sword when i first got it did the same damage but was about twice as fast, the ax was 5.4 the sword was 3.0. In this game its all about speed with ur weapon, and i guarantee that ull appreciate the swrods speed more than the ax's damage. by the by wiht my 2h sword i got novice swordsman and can hit for 1000+ 2h hit 2, and 600 regular.

You need to look at the floating numbers...the combat spam just is the base damage before it's modified by armor (very annoying, I know). You may think you're hitting for 1000, but in fact the mob is taking 500 damage (AR1). Meanwhile the Vibroaxe is hitting for 600 which seems like less, but it all goes through so it's actually doing more.

I'm not saying this is the case...maybe the Vibroaxe is just a PoS, but you can't go by the combat spam alone.
