I have a 222 damage 1.8 sliced two handed curved sword and I'm curious how much better they get.

DPS wise...

241 with 1.9 speed here!!

BTW, speed won't make that much of a difference later on up your tree. I had a sword sliced to79-301dmg 2.8dly then had another one sliced to 61-230 2.0dly and can't tell the difference. Now, I rarely use specials, so it might make a difference there, but I don't know for sure.

While I'm not quite there yet, I honestly believe that when I get to master weaponsmith and my 2h curved swords are sliced for speed, they'll be able to beat that.

I can already do 53-215/2.9. By the time I get master I predict I'll be hitting around 53-230/2.5 or so.

DPS won't matter later on, so you might want to invest in high dmg sliced 2hand swords. I swing about once every .8 seconds with my 2.8 speed weapon and see no difference with a 2.0 weapon.

yes we do swing super fast.. but the speed up is definitely there... i mean with a 2.8 speed weapon u might swing once a sec =)

but with a lower than 2 speed, u can swing twice a sec.. basically with berserk i can kill baznitch in around 10-15 secs... (if everything went well. lol) usually they're dead around 2 secs after the berserk is over)

of course thats with the help of my tanking gurreck.. he steals about 10% xp from every kills.. lil punk..

by the way, i'm on bloodfin... one guy (Ceslo) bought 100 swords (63-233/2.6) and had them sliced by a master smuggler... 3 came out as 1.7. around 10-15 to 1.8 i think... anyway he sold one to a master swordie... kept one for himself.. and i got the last one (phew). lol.... 917/1000 condition.. i barely used it =/

No, there is no difference between my 2.0 and my 2.8, but there is a noticeable difference when i use my power hammer that has a 6.1 speed. I'm not sure where the cut-off is before you notice a difference in speed. I'm also talkin about AFTER going all the way up the techinques tree and master where you get all of the bonuses to two hand melee speed. I never tested it before that.

You might not be able to tell, but I'm sure you swing the faster one faster. The faster the sword tends to always have higher DPS. The only problem is you basically can't use any specials with a sword that has less than 2 second time (not that you need to), at least not if the fight is going to last longer than about 5 seconds.

My best is a 70-303 2.7

try using headhit3 with that 1,7spd curved. Would set new best time for killing yourself in few seconds

use myself 75-300/2,7 and 60-240/2.1 for rainy days without styles
