There's a suggestion to make warcry a temporary root, which would hopefully help us freeze kiters in their tracks - of course it would need some reworking so that ranged fighters can't freeze us in our tracks too.

npc's that kite you! i was running factional missions from the imperial outpost on dantooine, and i had onemission respawn on me three times because of rebel npc's that i had to chase down and dispose of.

it would be nice if us melee fighters had a special tab on the already existing terminals so we can get missions with npc's that wont kite us to death.

or just make it so that if the npc's are attacked by a melee fighter they change to a melee weapon and attack that way.

it would be more helpfull than haivng to chase npc's down all the time.

i just /follow /burstrun. seems to work. Either this or i just stop running wait for them to stop and kneel or go prone and go get a few hits in before they get back up and begin running again.

Actually I would like to see an option called 'forced combat' we use this option when we get into close range with a target. Basically this stops a target from running away, they're locked in combat and are spending to much time defending blows so they can't run. Once you use this move you cannot break combat either tho. The only way to break this link will be if you or the target cause a posture change or kd blow upon youself or the other way around.

Just a thought

actually gimperial666, i'm a master brawler, but for some reason even lunge two will give me a message that the target is too far away even though i am 10 meters from it, it's the out of range issue that still happens when you're chasing something down. even if you stop moving and hit lunge they are still running, and thus half the time move out of range so a person would have to run to catch up.

I use lunge 1. I've never been killed by a kiter.

yeah like ranged fighters don't already have un-nerfed posture changes, knock downs, stopping shot, delay shots...

Storm Trooper NPCs are notorious for kiting, the easiest way is to equip a ranged weapon they will stop running. Sometimes they'll even equip a melee weapon and run toward you!

While Iwas serving the Emperor, executing a series of secret missions on Naboo, I was told toinhume a professional assassin, and this was before I became so lethal with a sword! I chased that Twilek halfway across Naboo, his Ice Shots missing my head by micros and my Lunge2, Warcry2 macro was draining memore than the fight! For some blind reason I just could not knock him down! I had to activate my PSG, pop a Pixie, change my hotkeys on the fly, and I only after all of that did one of the Emperor's finest cut him down.

All in a days work when your boss has the ability to throttle you from the other side of the room...

Take the blue pill,Ô
Play SWG, never dual-wield your pistols and believe whatever you want to believe.
Take the red pill,Ô
Play MxO, and I will show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

SWG was never the game I wanted it to be, even before the NGE. All the NGE did is take away what gameplay SWG actually did have.

Attack them. If they kite, let them run. Chase them more than 64m away, the go back and destroy the mission flag. Then deal with them at your leisure.

Kiting is surely annoying if you are melee only. But that is a choice you are making. You can either get a weapon with a longer range or understand that no one, including NPCs, what a good butt whoopin', so they are going to move to where they can fight you but you cannot fight them. That is the price for being deadly in closed in spaces, like bases, by going melee only.
