THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

For the Center of being BUT its missing somethnig.. as the motto says .. don't kill us, we can kill ourselves

IDEA) As with center of being.. the higher u are in skills.. the better u are at what u do under center of being

change it so that with lvl4 elite skills a swordsman.... OR any brawler class.. cept TK (they already strong enough) get a % reduction in ham costs. So your weapon is 110/80/40 - its going to eat u alive!!!, as a master swordsman give the player a total 30%(or whatever sounds resonable)reduction in ham costs....

so at each L4 Elite skill u recieve a 5% reduction on ham costs, and a 10% reduction at master totally 30% or however much. This idea is cause the better you are at something the more effective you are at it.. AND in being a masterare you not the best at what u do??? So you would work more effectively and effeciently at using your weapon of choice, 1hand, 2hand or polearm.

Please treat us nice.. give us a reason to master an elite profession

Make master so much better then dabbling that it would be a waste of pts to not master a profession.

I.E. rifleman - advstrafeshot2.... there is no better rifleman shot in the book, so in no mastering rifleman u are sacrificing a highly valued tool

Thank you for your time...

HAM costs are fine.

Don't like the HAM costs? Get to know achef or smuggler or doc.

I know this is the SWORDSMAN forums, but we ALL happen to be playing SWG. Quite simply, our HAM woes provide business for the above 3 classes.

This is similar to the "let me heal BF OUTSIDE of a cantina/theatre" argument. If this were to ever happen, I wonder how many entertainers we'd have frequenting those places (and afk'ers don't count)?

No, that lowers how much melee damage one gets hit for when they have a 2-handed weapon out.

Frankly, when you end up in a better shape at the end of the battle when you don't use special attacks ... there is something dead wrong. When some professions have worse HAM costs than others, there is something dead wrong (and we are not the worst, look at pikemen or carbineers. HAM costs out of whack with their damage output is one of the main reasons those professions are considered as "gimped").

Reducing HAM costs by a decent amount putting docs, chefs and smugglers ouf of business ? Bah. With spices (and some food items) giving +500 to +1500 to stats, and with buffs adding +2000 to +3000, lowering by 10ish points the HAM costs for the poor souls with 1000 action and 400 stamina is not going to do much to reduce the desirabilty of those fantastic buffs. In fact, you should be "happy" to have a game system that allows you to *multiply* the base value of your stats by 5 or 10 (!!!!). Those out of whack buffs values, unheard ofin other MMORPGs (even DAOC with the ever present buff bots has lower caps), are imho one of the very reasons (not the only one) some of the end game content is so devaluated and so trivialized.

Frankly no, even with slightly lowered ham costs that could help rebalance some profession and not make it couterproductive in some cases to use specials, I won't see docs out of business for a very long time...

Get a ham reduction + speed powerup. 30% reduction to highest ham cost + 16% speed makes for a nice powerup. Go 16% damage instead for a non PH.

SPICE = After effects

BUFFS = dr's doing buffs can rarely be found, and if they are buffing its usually on a remote planet were it iis serously needed...

FOOD = lol chef is broke as all hell

The point is......

The higher u get in your profession, L4 and Master, the more EFFECIENT/STRONGER u become these traits should negate a small amount of the damage that u take from performing special moves!

I am not asking for a master to have a 50% reduction in ham... 30% MAX.. something.. please! Sure u don't have to start with us, our ham isn't as bad as pikeman or carbineers.. trust me I have seen those guys get poked by a needle and die after 3 special moves... and I feel sorry for those ppl who have invested the time and skill pts to be in such a messed up profession (I pray that the devs LISTEN TO THE PLAYERS!!!) and fix such a 'gimp' to us.. the players.. THE MONEY GIVERS!!!!!

Find a master artisan and ask him/her to make you the best Heavy Axe they can by putting all 10+ skill points they have into efficiency. You then right a macro:

Put your normal damagedealing weapon into the second F1 Slot, and the Heavy Axe into the second F2 slot.

Macro:

/ui action toolbarSlot13;
/pause 1;
/2handSweep2;
/pause 2;
/ui action toolbarSlot12;

Just replace 2handSweep2 with your move and bingo, lower ham costs!

HAM costs are the price we pay to do the big damage. There are several ways to fight the costs:powerups, doc buffs,tatooine sunburns,spice etc. For me,powerups, sunburns, and either muon gold or booster blue does the job.

Just be glad that most of our costs are health andaction, not mind!

Melee powerups help quite a lot also.

Be careful with spice, it will incapp you now if your not strong enough. So avoid the strong ones like moun or pixie. My fav of booster blue.

While this is true, I still love the muon. But here is a macro to make sure this doesn't happen as often.

/ui action toolbarSlot01; /pause 540; /tell Blip 60 seconds left. Hurry it up...

Justadjust themacro to use the drugs out of whatever toolbar slot they're in. The reason for 540, is that muon gold lasts 600s. And on my personal Macro It also has reminders for 30 and 10 seconds. But this is the basic concept. Have the macro start the drugs, and a timer for when they're gonna run out. Just make sure you have enough time left for what you're doing, then get somewhere safe, take off the helmet, get your mind up high enough so that you don't incap yourself when it runs out. Then puke your guts out, and do it again =)
