With buffs, I can really take on any rancor out there. I've soloed the Rancor Cave on Dath before. Only issue with that is that if they jump me, I can't take on more than 1, maybe 2. I just use head hit 3 with my PH like it is going out of style. I think even if you were to go kill a Krayt, you wouldn't get more than 5K xp. I think that is the cap......don't remember where I heard that, but think I did....

Yea i know about the Bazs - i did them when i was leveling Pikeman. But I was told to group up for rancors more xp. but looks like ill be going back to Baz Giant and Mutants

Your topic and your post ask different questions. By myself I can solo any creature in the game, though some of the fights would take about an hour to complete. With the help of one friend the two of us take down most anything within 10 minutes.

to get xp at the level u are id go for rancors anyday, use the xp bonus u get from grouping with a pet or some other players, leave them at the outpost and go get busy. u should avarage around 4.5k xp a rancor, use area 3 no need to use any other attack against them. when i did it, i just spamed area 3 on the lair and leaned back til the show was ower 3 min later, ofcourse u have to be buffed an wear armor, and maybe some brandy or moun... ohh and stay away from the bulls unless u got warcry 2, they dont give more xp than an enraged and they have the meanest disease in the game..

With buffs one, just about any POI that has aggressive enemies. Its amazing to see 7-8 npc crowd around you and you use an area attack and watch them kneel,fall down, or die. Great stuff

Although I can see the point of having a challence or "fun" fighting rancors, they are horribly inefficient for exp. 4.5k per rancor is pretty bad really when you take into account how long it takes to kill them. I can kill an entire huurton huntress lair on dantooine in under 2 minutes and they are about 4400 per kill. Granted, the credits for the mission is less, around 7400 credits per, but for fast exp they are one of the best things around.

as mhs u can solo nearly evrything!

yesterday, i went with my noobswordsmanskills (0202) to dath and did an enraged rancor mission

suddenly there were about 5 or 6 rancors attacking me

ive killed three of them until a pistoleer appeared and hekilled the rest!

i was doctor buffed and i used moun gold

i was wearing my 80% kin armor

so i think as swordsman u can take out evrything if u have enough time!

Caveats people!

If you are just a MHS you will NOT be able to solo high level mobs (krayts, DJKs, DJMs, NS Elders, etc.)

However, if you are a MHS with Fencer and TKM (both with high Melee Defense mods) you will be able to handle high level mobs because they are primarily melee fighters. It will take you awhile, but they won't be able to hit you.
